I've been using Easy Song for licensing and copyright now for nearly a year. Responsiveness is very prompt. You can talk with a real person who is knowledgeable about these matters. They are patient and eager to help. I have needed special licensing for a few of my songs. Doing special licensing myself would be a nightmare. ES knows exactly how to proceed with these processes. Make music. Let ES to this time-consuming stuff for you. Fees are reasonable. They offer a Seal of Authenticity you can publish with your recordings that advises the listener your product is legal and not a ripoff. Occasionally, a rights holder will demand licensing through another entity, otherwise, ES can process all of your licensing needs. For copyrighting it is a smooth and rapid process. ES shall remain my go-to-first entity for these matters. I highly recommend them to you who is reading my review.

I had to register/license a cover song for my new 12 track record. So, I needed a license for physical CDs and for downloads. The process was efficient and prompt. I had tried to do the same with another agency, but ended up stonewalled and frustrated. Bottom line is, choose Easy Song for licensing of a cover song. Stay away from other agencies that run you through the mill for the same simple task. Price is very reasonable as well.

As Indie Filmmakers, our team found it insanely frustrating attempting to secure music licensing from recognized artists. We actually gave up then a fellow filmmaker suggested we give it one last shot with Easy Song. To this day, we have no idea how they secured the rights for every single song on our “wishlist “ but kudos to them and wonderful for us. Their prices are more than reasonable and yes, we will be using them on every single project in the future. Save yourself many, many hours of fruitless labor and just turn over the job to them. I have a small non-profit that creates music discs for our care-receivers. Much of the music is public domain, but for those piece we include that are not, Easy Song is a great help. Easy Song has helped us comply with the legalities from the first disc of several years ago, and continues to assist us in our good purpose today by doing heavy lifting of research and acquiring the needed licensing and permissions.

If you record your own renditions of other artist's songs, (cover songs), you must pay "royalties" for that privilege. It is the right and just thing to do. Whether producing a CD or publishing it on a streaming platform or Youtube just do it! "EASY SONG" indeed makes it quite "easy to do". I have been using them to license my covers for about 8 years, producing over a dozen albums. They are great to work with. It always makes me feel good that I have paid monetary tribute and verbal credit to other artists to whom I respect enough to perform and record my interpretations of their creations.

At the age of 62, never having any music experiences , I recorded my first music video and wanted to load it on Youtube. I was introduced to Easy Song and despite being a dinosaur and not knowing how to approach anything whatsoever that is related to modern technology, I managed to navigate myself in the EASY ! EasySong website and had the very good fortune of being looked after by Mr Joe Jacob. He was friendly and patient and was very thorough. He guided me on how much to offer to obtain the syncing right to the song” I just died in your arms tonight’ by Cutting Crew. He explained the process in details and made no misleading promises.
Within just days, he came back with a surprise to say that I got the permission to use the song with my video WITHOUT charge.
There would be NO way otherwise for me to know any of this and get things done LEGALLY as it is my first time.
Just as important as getting a ‘ YES’ answer, it is ALSO important to get a ‘ NO answer.
I had wanted to get the syncing rights to use another song before knowing Easy Song and had reached out to EVERY avenue possible. I did not get a ‘ Yes’ nor a ‘No’ answer. When Mr Jacob asked if he could help with another song, I explained to him the situation.
He reached out to the copyright owners and within days, the answer was a CLEAR NO. But that did not matter. What mattered was he gave me closure and I could move on . And that is important. To be able to move on.
Thank you to the very kind and helpful Mr Joe Jacob and thank you Easy Song. The moment I have the funds saved to do my next music video which is a ‘WHEN’ AND not an ‘if’ I will be reaching out to Mr Jacob for his guidance.
