I visited Trek Penrith with my wife and infant son on a Sunday, looking for a helmet for my son mostly, as it is incredibly hard to find sizes below 48cms.
I left with a Marlin 5 and a Thule child carrier. So, not the biggest sale by any means. But, slightly bigger than just a helmet in the end.
The service that all staff, not just one or two; I dealt with them all at one point or another, gave me was nothing short of fantastic. The guys who were working on Sunday the 24th provided some of the best customer service I've seen.
Having previously managed and worked in all facets of a bike shop, I am reasonably competent to judge knowledge, experience, etc. Again, the lads there were really good. The check up on the bike prior to leaving the shop was thorough, to the point of ensuring a click in the granny gear was eliminated, even when I stated I wouldn't use it and to not stress.
They were friendly, talkative and engaging. All traits that are crucial in good customer service in my opinion.
To the manager, you've got a great team there and should be very proud.
To other potential customers, despite selling most known rival brands, I can recommend the Trek brand easily - they're good bikes, and you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to buy one from.
