Michael didn't blow smoke, or make any promises. He told me up front that it would be tough. But he didn't make feel hopeless. He and his staff did walk me through everything, answered questions, eased my own doubts and fears, and kept me focused on the task at hand. Oh, and no, it wasn't easy, but, to sit before the Pardon and Parole board, and hear the recommendation, it was worth it. I know God was at work, and He used Michael. I don't let myself cry in public. I barely made it to my car when the dam broke loose. But they were tears of joy. After that, the toughest part was waiting to see if the governor was going to sign off, or deny me. I'm thankful to say that my pardon was signed last month.
