As you requested here is the feedback you asked me to leave: The Planum Pocket Door arrived on schedule and is beautiful. BUT IT IS UNSUITABLE AS A POCKET DOOR. United Porte claims it is a pocket door, sells it as a pocket door, furnishes the track to install it as a pocket door but let me WARN YOU: THE PLANUM "POCKET DOOR" does not function as a pocket door! I contacted Andrew at United Porte after my contractor with over 30 years of experience attempted to install the Planum Door. You see the bottom portion of the door is not even. The vertical wooden parts of the door are thicker than the horizontal portion of the door. This makes it impossible to smoothly open or close unsuitable product as a pocket door. There is a 3/16" difference between the horizontal rail and vertical styles. Andrew said I'm the first to have this complaint. I DOUBT HIS HONESTY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT & COMPANY!

There was an issue with my order. I ordered a 36x80 door and I received a 36x80 door but the frame and trims were a 42x80. I don’t understand how these items can leave the facility without being thoroughly inspected. Now I have to call tomorrow for them to send the right frames and trims which should have been done the first time. It’s just an inconvenience for the customer when things like this happen.

Easy to use website, but after the ordering is when the problems begin. Not only did they not meet their own delivery deadline but I emailed about four days in advance of the 10 day window and I was told it would be delivered in three days. It was not. When I called they said they would get back to me same day. They did not. Overall, poor customer service, poor fulfillment, and generally made me unhappy with them. At a bare minimum I shouldn't have been charged for the delivery which was four days late, holding up my work, delaying me an entire week due to poor communication and not following through on what they said. Product appears to be very nice but will consider other businesses b fore buying from here again. I will edit this review if United Porte makes this right.

When choosing custom sizes it would help if the sales team verified the sizes in the quote. Delivery was a nightmare confirming.

We ordered an exterior sliding door and are not happy with what we received. Very cheap construction, door handle and lock set are a joke. Messed up my order and sent a left hand open when we ordered a right hand open. I will not buy from this company again. As an update, United Porter was kind enough to provide me with a partial refund for the mixup of sending us the wrong door.

Beware, items on the website show "in stock" when they are not. I ordered doors for a customer job that is coming up and was emailed the next day that contrary to what the website says, the doors were out of stock which really puts me in a bind with my customer. Additionally, the doors do not come pre-drilled so it is very easy to damage the doors when drilling for hardware installation. If you do damage them, there's not a lot you can do to fix them since they have an eco-veneer coating.

Bought two doors. They weren’t installed properly. Water comes into my house every time it rains. It’s been 10 days since I brought this to their attention and they have offered no solutions. The wet summer means soaking floors and damage to the wood in my house. Avoid this company.

The doors I ordered are beautiful. However, I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. My doors arrived and were put on my porch. One leaning on top of the other. We carefully slid them into our storage room where they stayed until our contractor was ready to install them. Unfortunately, we discovered cracked glass on one of the doors. I have spent multiple days attempting to get resolution. They utilize a call center that is not empowered to make any decisions. Every call is “we will contact the team” or “the team says.” The call center appears to be in India based on accents. I am told I could have returned the door if I had requested a return in 48 hours. The call center stated that 48 hour notification was a part of their service contract. I have yet to see this. However, it was 60 days before our contractor opened them to be installed. I am frustrated trying to understand the negative financial impact on them in resolving my issue 58 days later… same problem, same cost. Door still in its packaging. The difference would have been a satisfied customer who would be thrilled to order from them again and share their product with others. Instead I can only post a review suggesting that if you hope to get customer service or talk directly with the company, this might not be the vendor you want. When asked if I could speak to the team directly I am told no ma’am there are no phones in the warehouse. That seems highly unlikely to me.

The worst customer service I’ve received. I received a damaged door 2 years ago. I ordered this door while I was remodeling my home so it sat there for a little over 30 days. When I tried to return it and ask for a refund through Amazon they told me the 30 days return policy had expired and I had to contact the seller directly. For over 2 years I tried calling no answer whatsoever I finally get an answer and they’re are completely careless, no one cares to hear my situation they just simply put excuses even though they never answered me. I finally start communicating with Olena Volobuieva and she just straights hungs up the phone on me. She starts saying I installed the door as exterior, as if she was the one who installed my door at my home. I told her it wasn’t, she requests pictures this was a while back so I no longer have pictures so I send her the ones of the damages I had saved on my email that I sent to my mother. She says she needs more and gives me excuses every time. After I complied with everything she asked for she starts saying is too late now after I asked Amazon for a refund and been trying to reach them and they never answered. This lady will not speak to me only hangs up on me. I am currently waiting on a response of Andrew Ballack which apparently he is the manager hoping he resolve this for me. I will update this review once he reaches back.

We spent $7,000 on doors from United Porte, but received the wrong materials. The company refused to take responsibility and told us to purchase new doors, costing us even more. Avoid this company—they are unethical, unresponsive, and caused us weeks of delays and thousands in losses. We would never recommend them.

I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here. I purchased doors two weeks ago after being assured they were in stock and would be delivered to my job site within a week. I was encouraged to have them delivered rather than picking them up myself. Since then, I have made repeated calls over the past week with no responses. On multiple occasions, the employees have even hung up the phone when I called — despite the fact that I have remained polite and respectful in all of my communications. At this point, I have no idea when or if my doors will ever arrive, and no one seems willing to provide any answers. Extremely unprofessional experience.

After reading the most recent reviews…the shipping is not 3-10 business days more like a month. I was told they did not have a container to ship the door, I was given a refund of $169. When the door arrived I sent pictures of damages to the door no one responded. My contractor at that point had already taken my door down to install the new door only to find out the wrong door was sent. (I was not present during installation so I could not stop it) I ordered a right swing door (was sent a left) I was told the warehouse would come up with a solution, the solution was to try and convince me they sent the right door. Per my contractor the swing of the door is incorrect. All the reviews within the last month confirm THIS COMPANY is not a good company to purchase an expensive door from. The customer service is horrible and instead of making their wrongs right they blame the consumer.

My experience with United Porte has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I was promised a door with a delivery timeline of 2 weeks, which was a major factor in my decision to move forward. Instead, the door arrived over a month later with no clear communication or updates during that time. When it finally showed up, the quality was shockingly poor—definitely not what I was expecting or what was advertised. To make matters worse, the customer service was completely unhelpful and dismissive. Every attempt to get answers or resolution was met with attitude, delays, or silence. This company operates on bait-and-switch tactics and false promises. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone—even if they were giving the doors away for free. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Also read the other negative reviews left by other customers. They clearly have terrible communication and don’t deliver on the shipping timeline. If you want to order a door and wait over a month your better off buying it from China at a cheaper price just like they do.

ZERO STARS. I don’t even know where to begin with how upset and disappointing this whole process has been! I first ordered these doors in November they came mid December and were supposed to be inside delivery. There was no notification of any kind on delivery. They never called or even rang my doorbell on The day of delivery and just left them outside in front of my garage. They were the “WRONG”! Doors. After several calls (their customer service is not great) I got a new delivery. The driver showed up again with no notice besides a phone call right before getting there at 8:30 PM on “Christmas Eve” absolutely ridiculous! And AGAIN! With the wrong doors!!! I had an extremely hard time communicating with the driver as he did not speak English and even called a friend to try and translate. I refused delivery and he showed up again! On “Christmas morning” to try to deliver them as some unknown person rudely texted me insisting they were the correct ones. I again had to disturb my friend on Christmas to translate and again refused the delivery while also sending back the original “wrong” order. Frustrated beyond belief it took several days and several phone calls to sort out this mess. Finally making a new order which took almost a month to get. It is now the end of January and they just delivered my doors left outside in front of my garage again at 10:30 at night with no notification that they were coming, no phone call no doorbell just a vague email a few days ago saying they were shipped and should be received on Monday two days from now. I only know they were delivered because I woke up and saw an email alert saying my delivery had been made. That don’t even have the correct name and phone number on the delivery invoice??? This is unacceptable who delivers at 10:30 at night! these poor drivers that they’re ssending out here on Christmas and so late at night I feel bad for them. I do not feel that this is a great company to do business with and I would have ordered them elsewhere, but there was nowhere else I could get this door and it was the design and style that I wanted meanwhile, it’s been holding up my home renovations for two months very upset, very unhappy, very unsatisfied with this company’s performance. Update: 10min after I posted this review on a Sunday they emailed me asking me to remove it because my original order was placed through the HOUZZ website. True but Houzz was not the problem. United Porte received the order from them and they are the one that delivered the wrong item twice and handled all the aspects of delivery and customer service not Houzz. Funny how I had trouble getting help with all my issues but they couldn’t respond to my review fast enough.

Bought a pocket door they sold me a slow close mechanism, which did not fit the pocket door track after months of communication. They refuse to refund me $100 saying that it’s past the 30 day return date.. I felt it was their incompetency to sell me something that doesn’t work with the original product and they still refuse to refund me.
