Wow! Just had my first appointment to establish care with Wendell John and am wildly impressed. I greatly appreciate his approach to whole-health care and thinks outside the box compared to most conventional practitioners. The office is clean and welcoming. So thankful to find a good PCP.

I had a sudden illness and chose to seek care at Heritage Urgent & Primary Care. My experience from the beginning has been outstanding. Beth took the time to listen to me and treat me with a Western medicine AND holistic approach. I am so thankful that Beth was my doctor on that initial visit. She is extremely educated and explained things to me the way no one else has. She didn't throw pharmaceutical drugs at me like other doctors I have seen in the past. She suggested Metagenics supplementation and wow it has been a game changer. She also did a food allergy test on me and it turned out I have a gluten sensitivity. With the combination of Metagenics and cutting gluten out of my diet, my symptoms have completely gone away and my digestion is the best it has been my entire life. My brain fog, fatigue, migraines, & body aches are ALL gone. Beth ran multiple tests and kept going until I got answers. She explained my mitochondria health was poor and that it needed to be repaired. I learned so much about my health on a cellular level. The Metagenics supplements are very high quality. I have tried other brands before and they do not even compare. I told Beth that God led me to her that day. I was in so much pain and very scared. I can't thank you enough Beth for your expertise and stellar care!

FANTASTIC!
I couldn't be more pleased with my care today. I was seen immediately after the normal intake paperwork. The staff was very professional and sympathetic. They actually listened and genuinely cared about my issue.
They then went above and beyond to get me a last minute written prescription after certain local pharmacies utterly screwed up and didn't fulfill a script for a VERY common medication that was supposedly out of stock (yet conveniently didn't tell me until I got home and said wait! I'm missing something!)... and that I needed to start immediately.
The facility is very nice and up to date without being ostentatious. Tastefully designed and sets you at ease.
I will definitely make this clinic my go-to!

My wife drove me to the closest urgent care facility because we didn't think that we had enough time to make it to the ER. Upon arrival, my body started to go into shock. The staff and Dr. Wendell John went into action right away!
I learned later from the EMS who took me from Heritage to the ER that if it were any other facility that I went to that I would probably not have fared as well. Dr. Wendell John is highly regarded by local EMS and the staff at UNC Rex. Those that know him attributed my well being to his craft, knowledge, and quick thinking. It is very possible that without the help from the doctors and staff a week ago, I would not be able to leave this humble review. I can't recommend them enough.

So glad I came upon this practice earlier this year! I originally went in for an urgent care visit and because of the exceptional experience with Dave, I decided to transition to this practice as my primary care. I now see Wendell and he has been phenomenal. He spends so much time with you and really tries to get to the root of the problem. I have appreciated his holistic outlook and treatment with the issues I've had. (He will prescribe medicine of course if needed, but it was important to me to try to heal as naturally as possible). Wendell helped me to get back to myself, both mentally and physically, after having a baby and I am so very grateful!
The only negative thing we've experience was with the billing. My husband also sees Wendell and we did have an issue with his billing for something but everyone at the practice helped us to get it remedied which we appreciated!
Overall, we really love coming here for our primary care. Wendell genuinely cares about your whole being and shares his knowledge and expertise to help you heal from the inside out. We have referred many friends and family members to see him as we trust him wholeheartedly with our care.
