All the dentist and hygienists are excellent . Billing department is going to cause me to find a dentist office. They give you a quote and then can't find it. Can't tell what you have paid and what you have not paid. Every time there is an issue with the billing clerks. $2000.00 for a cleaning. WOW. There savings plan is a joke.

At first this place seemed like a great dental practice, but unfortunately the front office staff ruined the experience. Not only do they give improper insurance estimates, they also unscheduled or move your appointment time without telling you. Often times there is a packed waiting room and you end up waiting to get take back for your appointment a good 30 minutes later than it was scheduled for. Do not recommend.

They told me I had a cracked tooth. So $500 later they installed a crown that never hurt until 6 months later when the crown fell off!! They installed another crown and my tooth hurt until I needed a $250 root canal. Getting 2 crowns on the same tooth so close together kills your tooth. Then they charged me another $500 to fill the hole from the root canal and pay for my next cleaning, because my benefit was maxed out and they didn’t check to see what I owed before they did the work. Go in for a cleaning and get a $300 bill after paying $170 for the crown filling weeks earlier, that’s what happened to me. Instead of taking responsibility for their obvious incompetence they they made more money off me. If you buy new tires on your truck or car and you drive away and one of the wheels falls off you would expect them to pay for the damage they caused. Don’t want to be taken advantage of and save yourself $750 and a lot of pain . Then find a dentist who can install a crown properly the first time and who takes responsibility for a failed procedure, I know I am!

I’ve been going to this place for years. I was very happy with their treatment for a while, everyone is friendly. After this experience I’ve had, though, I don’t think I can go back. I no longer trust them to do what’s best for me. This review might be long but it’s important. They did me a lot wrong. They don’t organize their files and lose customer records. If you’re a current customer, I would get second opinions on everything. I’ve been having TMD problems for years now. Dr. Gerard decided to finally address the problem and fit me with a nightguard. Except that wasn’t the solution. If anything it made it worse. Not only that, but they had to take the impressions FOUR TIMES! That’s waaaay too many but they just couldn’t get them right! That was a few years ago. Recently they decided to address my TMD again. They took three X-Rays (one panoramic and two 3D) and took impressions, which they had to redo three times. They told me the results would be back in two weeks. The day of my appointment, which I had to take time off of work from, they tell me that they had to postpone it for another two weeks. I show up to the new appointment and they don’t show me any of the X-Rays and Dr. Smith didn’t know what he was talking about. He sounded unsure and only gave me one option for treatment, which he said they were unfamiliar with and I would have to be the experiment on. I felt uncomfortable with those results and decided to get a second opinion. I went to The Center for Sleep Apnea and TMD and was so impressed! They told me everything I needed to know in the 1 hour consultation. Before hand they informed me I would need a recent panoramic X-Ray. Well lucky me, the dentist took some in February so it shouldn’t be a problem! Day of my appointment I get a call from The Center telling me the dentist had informed them my last recorded X-Rays were in 2015. That wasn’t right. Not only did I get X-Rays for my wisdom teeth in 2016, but I had just gotten them done two months ago! Because of this I had to pay an extra $99 at The Center to take a new X-Ray. I checked my receipts to make sure I paid for the pano X-Ray, which I had definitely paid for. I call them up and ask about it. My phone call lasted three minutes. Within that time I was able to ask my question and ask for a solution, and the lady at the front desk was able to find my X-Ray, claiming it was “not in the right place”. It took her less than 3 minutes to find, yet they couldn’t find it to send to The Center? Ridiculous. I asked them to take responsibility. Because of their mistake, I had to pay $99 out of pocket. The answer I got was tough luck. They refused to help and take action for their mistake. This isn’t cool. I’m very upset. Either someone lied or was mistaken and in both instances this falls on you, Millennium Dental. You no longer have my business.

I'm not usually a bad review person, but I feel like I need to blow the whistle on this place. My two oldest kids were told by Dr. Gerard they need spacers....took them to two orthodontists for second opinions, and they don't. My youngest was told by Dr. Gerard she needs tonsils removed....took her to an ENT, and she doesn't. After comparing stories with other patients, they have experienced the exact same thing. Doctor Gerard and Millennium Family Dental is suggesting testing or treatments that don't need to be done because they have a financial incentive to do so. Extra x-rays, orthodontic work, and sleep testing are three of the treatments that were strongly suggested to us that were completely unnecessary. The sleep testing is in-house, meaning that they're billing your insurance and making money by telling parents that their kids need their tonsils/adenoids removed. This is so unethical! It is essentially up-selling people on health care and taking advantage of those who don't know any better. Whether these surgeries actually take place or not, people who don't have a medical background could easily fall into this trap of thinking that their child needs to have a major surgery that may not be the case at all. I felt like our experience at Millennium Family Dental was essentially them telling me that my kids needed excessive work/procedures done, and them being hostile when I told them no. If you're a patient, I would definitely get a second opinion from specialists before blindly following the advice of these doctors.

Horrible! Stay away!! Prior to scheduling I called to confirm they were in-network with our insurance and was told "yes, in-network" by Liz. I also asked for pricing for cleaning, x-ray and exam. Later, from my mom's office, on speakerphone I called back to schedule the appointment; again spoke with Liz and during that call, my mom spoke up and asked if they were in-network and was again, told yes. Was seen and charged a TON more than quoted and then claim was processed out-of-network. Had my grandmother call, she spoke with Liz, and again was told they were in-network with our insurance. My mom who manages a large medical practice had several of her staff randomly call and every time was told in-network with our insurance. I've called, my mom has called and my grandmother has even called multiple times to speak with billing and or office manager. No one is ever available and messages left go unreturned - the last time my mom called she asked for the name of the office manager, Liz said it was Jennifer but when asked what her last name was Liz said she 'didn't know it'. They are committing fraud, plain and simple and I will be filing a complaint with the State of Idaho attorney general, and the Idaho Department of Insurance and am considering filing a police report with Meridian Police department. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

This is by far the worst dentist I have ever been to. If you like sitting in a dentist chair for 2 hours for a cleaning then go to them. Honestly I didn't even feel like they cleaned my teeth in that time. They took more pictures and x-rays then anything. All they want is your money and do not care about you as a patient. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. During my cleaning I only saw the dentist for maybe 1 minute. When I had to go back to get some cavities filled he came in and said "Oh wait for just a few more minutes while I go do an exam on someone else." I will not be going back to this dentist. They only want your money.
