A bit of a mixed experience. I brought my Trek in with a seized seat post, and the team were upfront about the challenge. The mechanic explained the different methods they’d try, and after almost two weeks they successfully freed it, which I really appreciated.
The problem came after I got the bike home to Sheffield. My front brake was suddenly screeching and not stopping properly, and it was clear the brake had been contaminated by product while the bike was in the shop. The staff were very apologetic when I called and offered to sort it, but with the store being over an hour round trip, it’s hard for me to go back for an issue that wasn’t there before.
The team are friendly and the service seemed good overall, but I’d recommend double-checking everything before leaving the shop. Unfortunately, the brake contamination has left me unable to ride for now, and it’s made me reluctant to return.
