From entering the door @ Durham Family Dental you are greeted with warm friendly reception staff. Steph the dentist treats you like a valued individual showing genuine care, understanding & compassion while maintaining her professional role @ all times. She explains the process of your treatment & answers your questions/concerns in much detail. Gaynor & Caroline along with the dental nurses also show care, compassion & understanding. The practice is scrupulously clean throughout. I feel honoured to be a patient of such a wonderful dental practice & would advise anyone to register.

I have just had a dental hygiene appointment and also a filling installed with Sam Carew and Caroline.
Firstly the hygiene appointment went well.
After following the great advice that's has been given over the years I had minimal work, (which is always a plus) next came the dental filling.
Being 56 years of age I've experienced a lot of of fillings and they can be a painful experience some times.
This time I can truly say the experience was first class.
Usually the injection you get to numb the area can be the start of a painful treatment.
Not this time, I never felt the injection or any discomfort during the treatment.
Well done Sam and Caroline, I would highly recommend this dental practice and all the staff that work for Steff Durham.

I’ve had nothing but fantastic care from everyone at Durham Family Dental. I originally had a free cosmetic consultation after a bad experience at another dental practice, I met Steph who took time to explain everything to me, go through treatment options, did a 3D scan of my mouth and X Rays so she could get a full thorough examination of my mouth. I couldn’t fault her at all. I’ve since then met Sam who has gone above and beyond in my procedures, with assistance from Courtney and Lorna too. Everyone I’ve met has been so friendly, took their time with me and explained what they were doing every step of the way. It’s clear patients come first, I winced once in an appointment and the whole procedure was stopped to inject more anaesthetic even though we were almost finished. Simple things to keep you comfortable that I’ve never had using NHS dentists before such as using a numbing gel before injecting anaesthetic so you don’t feel a thing, to a follow up call the day after a root canal to check how I’m doing. I’ve had to have multiple appointments and the reception team have been so helpful (especially Andrea) when it comes to fitting appointments in. I even managed to get an emergency same day appointment free of charge with my plan. For the sake of £16 per month which these days doesn’t go far it’s a small price to pay for brilliant service
