Joined recently as a new patient and have needed my first fillings. After some bad experiences at NHS dentists I’ve been so pleased at how brilliant the level of care is at Durham Family Dental! From the moment I sat down I was made to feel welcome and at ease. I am autistic so have sensory issues that revolve predominantly around taste, upon explaining this I wasn’t made to feel embarrassed as I have been at other practices, and Steph ensured that she did all she could to make sure that this wouldn’t be an issue for me during any visit.
I no longer feel nervous to visit the dentist and would highly recommend Durham Family Dental to anyone!

An excellent dental service, the staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. I recently had a painful tooth infection, called the practice on Monday morning, was fortunate to be seen later that morning, and the tooth duly extracted. After a very uncomfortable weekend, problem promptly solved! And then a courtesy call the next day to check that everything was ok! Many thanks to Steph and the team - well done!

My 13 year old Daughter had to have 2 teeth taken out before fixed braces being fitted. She was a little anxious and only wanted one taken out. Best filling I’ve ever had!
At my first check up with Steph she thought one of my old fillings needed replacing. She took an X-ray & there was a small amount of decay around it. We decided to review it six months later. At that visit she showed me how much it had worsened, so we agreed it needed replacing.
The local anaesthetic was completely painless. She placed rubber dam & did the tooth coloured filling needed. It’s the best one I’ve ever had. It fits perfectly in my bite. It feels lovely & smooth. I’m delighted with it.
She also showed me my teeth using the intraoral scanner. It was fascinating as I could see the inner surfaces of them that I’ve never been able to visualise before.
