OhMyGawd. I went here 2-3 months after my stroke in Aug. 2025. My Unit felt like I was put in a shoebox in a giant Ant Hotel. From the Outside it looks beautiful. But the food, overall, was terrible! Gross! Miniscule meat portions overshadowed by frozen, canned, and boiled-yet-firm veggies. In 2 months I saw fresh broccoli Once! Green beans- serving was 4! Salads- 4 leaf bits. Pot Roast was a piece of meat cut in less than a 2 inch square, 1 piece! I lost weight my first month. I was supposed to get extra (good)protein, for healing. Hah! It showed no signs of improving; I'm grateful for new digs!

If you care for your loved one, DON'T have them live here!!! They can't keep staff to save their lives, they are unprofessional, don't care about their residents, especially their safety. My grandma has lived there three years and I have put in 5 requests for a simple grab bar, and they can't be bothered to put it in. Their "hotel" is a joke and no one will help you if they need anything. When touring the place, the sales director pulled me aside and said, "I want her".... It is 2022 at that time, I didn't know you could own a human. Since she has lived here, there have been 4 executive directors. There are never servers, the place is dated and disgusting and no one seems to have pride in their work. Run..... just RUN!

After my friends husband passed away, knowing she could no longer live at home by herself, I called Highland Cove to put her on a waiting list. I called and spoke with Anne. She went above and beyond in assisting us in a very timely manner. Because a room was available, we were able to move my friend in within five days. It was a God send! The staff greated her so lovingly and made her feel as though she had arrived at home. I will always be greatful for how they made her feel loved and well cared for during a difficult time in her life. They made her feel less anxious and the transition from her family home to her new home with new friends went smoothly. She loves it here. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my dear friend.

This place has the most caring employees. My absolute favorite is Ember! You won't find a more caring individual. She is a HUGE asset to Highland Cove. She not only makes the residents feel like a part of her family but the residents' families feel like part of her family as well. Ember is AMAZING! A couple of my other favorites are Tammy and Neil her medical assistants who take AMAZING care of mom and Kathy who is always very friendly and she treats the residents with utmost respect. They are all great assets to Highland Cove!

My mom has been at the Highland Cove for a few years now. I have been so amazed at some of the activities the Activity Coordinator Ember has put together for her patients, friends and families at your facility. My mom still raves about the circus and all the animals that she was able to pet, there was a Hawaiian Lual that was just a riot. There is Bingo, that has symbols for the holidays. Ember is the most amazing, crafty, imaginative, loving and caring person I have met. She is a true asset to the Cove, patients and even their families. You have a couple of medics we are fond of as well. Tammy and Neil are great. They are very loving and caring for their patients as well. I wished we could get more long term staff in the buildings. There is a big shortage of servers and of Cooks. But what I can say..is when shortage of servers all of the staff come to help with serving, taking orders and cleaning tables. I know staff is never recognize much as this world has gotten so negative. I want to shed some positive love to those caring people.
