We’re not used to spending this much on a vacation, but it was a special anniversary trip, and it took us out of our comfort zone. Our group bonded so well that we felt we had lasting connections by the end. Once we learned what Nat Hab does to support its guides, local communities and the environment, it felt so worthwhile. Being part of something so unique and beautiful on every level was wonderful.

Our Expedition Leader is so excellent. His ability to spot wildlife is amazing. My favorite part might be traveling with our guide, but seeing dolphins, capuchin monkeys and quetzals also topped the list.

All of the lodging locations were outstanding. We loved returning from jungle hikes at Tiskita to watch white-faced monkeys and coatis from our porch. Getting to taste authentic, locally prepared meals was a treat.

I loved the diversity of the locations we visited, from mountains to coast. Our Expedition Leader was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about Costa Rica's wildlife, plants and culture.

I appreciated the small group size and loved the private cruise--we saw so many animals!

Hearing howler monkeys, seeing macaws entering their nests at dusk and watching beautiful sunsets was amazing. Coming across a puma was special, as was releasing 53 newly hatched Pacific green turtles into the sea. I also loved the opportunities to photograph resplendent quetzals and hummingbirds. The remote areas we visited on this itinerary complemented each other well, offering great wildlife viewing.

Tiskita is such a special place, and I loved learning about the turtle hatchery program. The food was fantastic--it was very easy to eat vegan on this trip. Our high expectations were not only met but exceeded.

The private cruise and hike in the cloud forest were highlights. Tiskita and the sea turtle hatchery were incredible and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Our Expedition Leader made our adventure a true five-star experience with his unbelievable enthusiasm and knowledge, always catering to our needs.

The best part of this trip was being out in nature with a very experienced guide who was able to point out so many beautiful animals. Our Expedition Leader was outstanding, and I really appreciated his wealth of knowledge and caring manner. Thanks for a wonderful adventure!

The hikes and birdwatching were the highlights, made all the better by our fantastic guides!

The activities were diverse and engaging, and I felt very safe the entire trip! Transportation was clean and comfortable, and the accommodations and meals were fantastic. I loved this adventure--thank you!

This was an outstanding adventure. We stayed at wonderful lodges and visited birding hotspots. The night walk at Tiskita Jungle Lodge, the monkeys in Ballena Marine National Park and the private cruise on the Sierpe River were each unforgettable experiences.

Our Expedition Leader was wonderful! He loves his country and its wildlife. He went out of his way to make sure everyone saw the animals they wanted to see--the highlight for me was a flock of scarlet macaws feeding in a guava tree.

All the activities were fantastic--the sea turtle release, quest for quetzals, sloth sightings, morning bird walks, chartered planes and cocktails at sunset. We were delighted with our Expedition Leader. His breadth of knowledge is amazing, as are his wildlife-spotting skills. His passion and enthusiasm were a joy to be around. He also has a great personality and a terrific sense of humor! I really appreciated his leadership and organizational skills; all trip logistics were executed perfectly.

There were so many highlights: seeing baby olive ridley turtles released into the ocean, watching monkeys play by the shore on the mangrove cruise and being close to a mother sloth with a baby. I chose to take this trip for one reason, to see a resplendent quetzal, and we did!

There were so many highlights it's difficult to pick just one--seeing sea turtle hatchlings released, playful capuchin monkeys, peaceful rain forest walks, and who wouldn't fall in love with a six-week-old three-toed sloth? However, seeing 164 different bird species was way and above what I would have dared to hope for, and seeing a male and female quetzal added the icing on the cake. It was certainly a trip of a lifetime, and we look forward to sharing our memories with friends and family.

The opportunities for photography were abundant!
