This adventure was a personal milestone and a bucket list trip for me. I had always dreamed of seeing the northern lights, dog sledding and walking in freshly fallen snow under the moonlight. I loved it and am so thrilled! The Nat Hab team was friendly and enthusiastic too.
Churchill and the surroundings are beautiful but the people I met, from guides to local speakers, made it all the more wonderful. I am still processing the experience. It will forever be one of my favorite adventures.
Dog sledding was so fun! I loved the emphasis on sustainability throughout this adventure--recycling the hand/foot warmers, providing reusable liquid containers, etc.
I loved Churchill, the quiet solitude of the woods, the magnificence of the northern lights, and the camaraderie that developed with our group and guides.
I loved the opportunities for aurora photography, with expert advice and suggestions from our guide on tap. On top of that, he was genuinely interested in making sure that everyone on the trip enjoyed themselves, got good photo ops, learned something about the area and had as much photographic instruction as they wanted
There were plenty of interesting areas to create good vantage points to see the northern lights, like the Nat Hab Aurora Pod. Our guide was able to find good foreground areas for the northern lights as well as excellent sunrise and sunset spots.
The organization of the trip, the attention to customer service, the professionalism of the staff that attended us during the trip and the gear you loaned us were the things we most loved.
Our Expedition Leader was amazing—the best guide you can ask for. He was well informed, communicative, very professional, very kind and responsive to our needs. He kept us busy and entertained all the time.
I enjoyed how organized and timely everything was, as well as the many excursions that were planned for us. It was an amazing trip and I've already booked another one!
Of course, the highlight was the lights which we were so lucky to see every night we went out. It was very special! I really enjoyed the museums and various storytellers.
Our guide did a great job leading this tour. First and foremost, he has a great sense of humor. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the region and photography. The activities such as snowshoeing and curling was a blast.
Our Expedition Leader was very, very helpful with individual photography questions. He was willing to go the extra mile to get photos and there were lots of options for outings.
Our guide was fabulous. He met our every need and had such a deep knowledge of what we were seeing, and then some. We were unable to stump him with a question. The best, however, was his enthusiasm about the northern lights. He was truly as excited as we were when the lights appeared!
I enjoyed every facet of the trip—the leaders, the aurora, the drivers, the dog sledding, igloo making, the museums, curling, and even putting on all of our gear! My least favorite thing was having this adventure come to an end!
We had an outstanding leader. He was really good at sharing information and helping us set up equipment at each location. He was also fun and funny—there was a lot of laughter on the trip! I came home with some new photography skills that I can't wait to use.
