Rumor has it... we're awesome!

Before renting our condo unit, we triple bid three different management agencies in Portland before deciding to go with RPH. They are competitive in their rates and had good service reviews. We worked with Arely Sanchez, who was extremely professional, punctual, well organized and friendly. She really sealed the deal for us. She showed up at our condo with a packet of all the information about the agency which we could review at our leisure after her departure. She had also done market research about the building and location in advance of the tour, so she could give us a ballpark estimate on the rent we could expect to make. Both of the other agencies we met with failed to do this legwork, which is one of the most important factors for owners. Obviously everyone hopes to earn as much as possible from their rental, but Arely was realistic about market rates during Covid and winter (which is an off season). After half a dozen showings, we ended up getting a renter within a month or so, which was great for that time of year. My reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: A great improvement for the agency would be to have a smoother handoff on the billing process. Not being a math major, I still find their monthly statements very difficult to decipher. I would’ve appreciated a brief tutorial from their billing department to better understand their process and the online portal. We got a weekly update from Jennifer, the agent that hosted tours for potential renters. I would’ve appreciated knowing after each tour whether someone was interested or not. I know she’s quite busy, but it’s hard to wait for news when you’re eager to get someone placed in the condo ASAP. We also had a hiccup with maintenance. We had some repairs that needed to be made, which I detailed to Arely during her condo tour. Unfortunately, a stove burner that needed replacement somehow slipped off the list and wasn’t repaired in time for the renter’s move-in. So that was a bit embarrassing. These are small issues in the overall picture. I would feel confident recommending RPH to any owner that’s looking for a reliable management agency. Our experience has otherwise been excellent and I feel confident that they have everything under control (which is essential when you live hundreds of miles away)!
