There is no such thing called "Equity" and "Fairness" that exists in Darla's business model. If home owner make a mistake then he needs to pay for it. If Darla make any mistake then also home owner needs to pay for it. In our case tenant did break the lease and did not pay the lease breaking fee. Please notice that the tenant did not pay it because Darla's staff made a mistake in accounts and did not charge them and not because the tenant had any financial difficulty. When we asked about it to the staff they said that they are not responsible for this mistake and entire loss we need to bear it. After talking to Darla, she told us that she will talk to her staff and return our call which she did not return till date, showcasing extremely unprofessional behavior. Also other home owners who are still in business with RPH, please caution, if they are sending any contractors in your property , ask them before and after pictures of any kind of repair. They says blah blah thing is broken and now repaired and then you will come to know that tenant is complaining about the same thing again because it was never repaired properly.

I interacted with Darla Andrews some time ago. I have not met someone less professional than Darla. I would definitely not do business with anything associated with someone as inept, rude and unpleasant. edit: I love the response from the owner. This just exemplifies her behavior. I have reviewed many businesses and given positive, neutral and negative reviews. This review is 100% honest and negative. But just look at the response to verify that. She doesn't even have any idea who I am. That is how often she is unpleasant. Darla if you don't want people to post that you are inept, rude and unpleasant....how about you don't be those things. Please go ahead and respond. I don't mind you lying some more. Remember when you spoke to me and said you would run circles around me in tenant relations? And you couldn't schedule a thing to save your life? Please just quit your job and do everyone a favor.

We used them to manage our home. When we were charged 95$ to have screws tightened we questioned this practice. They terminated the management contract without notice. Unprofessional, lacks communication and treats homeowners like bothersome part of their money machine. Called me “dude” on the phone.

Not really sure why this place has such great reviews considering on other platforms they have 1 star which they don’t even deserve. Absolutely awful service, I texted, emailed and called multiple times on multiple occasions about a property I liked to which I only received a response once saying they could do a showing then nothing after that. Then, the property got taken. I have since found another place I really like that’s in the same neighborhood, have called and texted multiple times and it’s been days now. No response. Ive just decided to let it go and take my business elsewhere. Too many other nice offices in Portland that will get the job done professionally. This place is totally unprofessional and i do not recommend this place to anyone. Thankful someone else will get my money and business and find me a wonderful first home.

I was a renter from March '19 - Jan '20. They were unprofessional from the day I moved in. I am in the process of suing them for several reasons. They tried to appease me so I wouldn't go down this path, but here I am. They have received TONS of bad reviews from renters. Keeping unnecessary fees upon move out, taking days to repair a broken fridge where the renter lost all of her food and frozen breast milk. They refused to compensate her. I didn't have heat for 5 days during the winter and Darla herself said that calling one HVAC company is all they are legally obligated to do. Check out their website under their former company name: Rent Portland Homes. All of their good reviews that I have seen have been posted my property owners. They work only for them and it is no surprise that they don't get repeat renters.
