I especially enjoyed the snow coach rides. One day we stopped beside the Madison River under a clear sky—bison on both banks, trumpeter swans in the water and a coyote prowling the ice. The serenity was unforgettable.

Yellowstone is magical in winter. Seeing a coyote catch its prey in the snow, hearing wolves howl and spotting them through the scope were all unforgettable.

The Nat Hab vans were roomy and comfortable, and the snow coaches were amazing. We saw parts of the park few people visit in winter. Seeing wolves at Slough Creek was the highlight. The number of coyotes and the variety of behaviors we observed were fantastic. Being in the heart of Yellowstone in mid-winter was breathtaking.

Our Expedition Leaders made this trip special. It’s clear they’re passionate about what they do. Seeing Yellowstone and the Tetons in winter has been on my list for a long time, and I’m grateful to Nat Hab for making it happen.

The wildlife was amazing, and the geysers, mud pots and colorful pools fascinated me. My favorite part was seeing the snow-frosted pines. It was lovely to be in a real winter wonderland again. Thank you!

Every day was filled with interesting activities. My favorite part was the blend of animal viewing with the stories, facts and commentary from our guides. The spotting scopes with iPhone enhancement proved invaluable.

Having visited Yellowstone in other seasons, this crowd-free winter visit was our favorite. The scenery was beautiful and magical, from snow-covered mountains to valleys and a snowbow--an ice crystal rainbow. Seeing the wildlife, especially the Wapiti pack of 14 wolves, was an amazing experience. We encountered hundreds of bison and elk, many moose, bighorn sheep, mule deer, a pine marten and bald eagles. All activities were perfect, surpassing all our expectations. Truly an incredible adventure!

The moments of silence in the breathtaking snowy landscape nourished the soul. I must also mention the grace of the entire wolf pack moving through the snow. The itinerary was well thought-out and our Expedition Leaders were flexible, allowing wildlife sightings to alter the schedule, which was fantastic.

The sleigh ride was my favorite experience, along with seeing wolves and other animals, and visiting Oxbow Bend, encased in ice. Watching Old Faithful erupt at night in solitude was unforgettable. This was my 9th Nat Hab trip--the guides and staff always provide an incredible and safe experience!
