From the time I walked in to Simple Cycles with the idea of buying a road bike, it was the most pleasant experience ever! David and his team talked me through my options on multiple visits, and finally sold me not the most expensive bike, but one they thought I needed and I would enjoy. Despite my lack of knowledge, they were most patient, helpful and friendly - and that makes it feel special.Also the bike I ended up buying is really what I wanted and so I'm super happy. I was initially very tempted to go the online bike sale route from overseas, but am happy I stuck to a local brick and mortar shop. The service one can get is worth far more than any notional savings in selling price of a bike online. I guess I will be seeing a lot of Simple Cycles Wollongong in the future. This place is the best! I bought a Trek Marlin 5 from here over a year ago and since the first day I walked in, all the staff have been so friendly and keen to help. I bought the bike from David who is the nicest guy and you can tell that he really wants you to leave happy with what you're getting. After having some trouble with my saddle being uncomfortable I got help with a saddle fitting (free) and now I've got a perfect one! Thanks Tom!
Today was the icing on the cake though, I came in because my front brake was getting soft and close on my handlebars. I thought it needed to be bled and initially the guy that helped me did too(didn't catch his name sorry). I was ready to pay for it when he went to try something and realised that all it needed was an allen key to move the lever further from the handle. Didn't need to pay a penny and now it's perfect thanks to Simple Cycles having such awesome staff.
I didn't buy the most expensive bike from there but I fricken love that bike and I really appreciate that they have so much respect for the customer regardless of how much they are spending.

I've been a customer of Simple Cycles now for four years, since I moved to Wollongong. David and his team are the friendliest and most helpful people in the world. Not only have they guided my purchases, matching my needs they have utterly excelled in kindness. I called in the other week and asked David if he'd tidy up a second hand bike I'd acquired for my four year old - he was ready to move up from his balance bike. Within an hour I had a call to tell me the bike was ready. When I went in to collect the bike I was surprised with the ultimate upgrade. David and his team gifted my son the most wonderful, red Trek bike. It was a part of their upgrade program in which customers bring their old bikes to upgrade their growing child's bike for the next size up. While the customer receives a substantial discount on the new purchase, the old bike is gifted to another child. I was a little overwhelmed at their generosity and kindness. The team at Simple Cycles are absolutely wonderful and I tell everyone looking to buy a bike to head that way. Thank you for making my day, and putting the biggest smile on my son's face! Prior to my trip to Tasmania I wanted to organise a surprise birthday bicycle for my friend. I knew I would not be around for her birthday so I needed to not only purchase the bicycle and accessories but trust that it would be delivered on time and according to my special request.
Well Simple cycles delivered! On all accounts. I could not be happier and will now be bringing my own bicycle there for servicing and they will also be servicing the pretty pink one I purchased for my friend.
