I started surfing late in life (35) after finally moving to a coastal town a dream come true eventually. I got really involved in kitesurfing and SUP surfing but couldn't get surfing right, I mean how hard is it, you paddle in and pop up, my interest waned. Anyway 2 years ago I decided I'm only going to focus on surfing the route of all watersports, after about a year I had made progress but not enough. Then I found OMBE (Amanzi at the time), wow being in South Africa the currency conversion was a lot and I debated the purchase for months eventually diving in. It was a big financial commitment. needless to say the methodology and program has changed my surfing overnight, so much so the guys from the local surf shop think I've been surfing for years. What I have really learnt is how to coach myself in the water, when I make a mistake I can pick it up after the wave and try correct for the next wave I catch. The combination of Ant and Clay is amazing, as it isn't just a 30yr Pro telling you do a cut back, Ant brings it to a level most of us are at and that makes it feel obtainable. The course structure of the 12 week is great, I have actually just gone back to the beginning often and always pick up small bits I miss. Needles to say I am so deep into surfing these days I hardly kite or SUP haha. The content OMBE keeps creating is also amazing. The app and now iPad support Luke has finished is also excellent and so good on my iPad. In summary if you are sitting on the fence thinking about purchasing a program you will never look back!!!! Highly recommended!!
