I am happily improving my surfing and enjoying the process in my 50s. I’m focusing on good coaching, training and equipment choices to make that happen. Clayton’s Amanzi is my goto for a solid understanding of how to progress.

Always looking to improve my surfing and this here is the real deal! Tried a few different surf related online content platforms and almost passed on this one as it seemed a bit more expensive. But in reality there is just so much more high quality content and these guys have put together the A-team of surf coaches to cover every technical and psychological aspect that you can think off. There is also a triving community around the surf improvement and coaching where you can discuss and learn from others. 5/5 stars, super stoked i found this.

I've been learning how to surf from your online surf program with my mum and I love it. I really like the Bosu Ball balance practise and the unique cardboard slide concept. And I can also ride a carver skate board properly now.

I’m blown away by the quality of the training available at Amanzi. Clayton not only know his stuff, but more importantly is able to teach it in a way that stays with you in the water. I fully recommend.

I have been coached for many sports as a kids and an adult, swimming, tennis, ballet, highland dancing, flute, piano, horse riding, golf and probably a few other things... and Amazi is the most rewarding coaching out of all those experiences. Thanks to everyone at Amanzi. Best $$$ value ever.

I have spent hours in the water trying to get better by myself, I've had a range of coaching and looking at stuff all over Youtube and the internet to get better at surfing. It has bee such slow progress for me and, as a woman starting surfing late in life, it has been a real struggle. Surfing isnt like other sports, you need to get the technique right from the start in order to progress. I got the Amanzi online accelerated surf program and have been watching the easy short videos, practicing the land drills and took the plunge to start doing the carver skateboard drills on the street then on a ramp. My progress in the past few months since doing this has been mind blowing and i can see how much faster i have progressed compared to my friends who are still literally just stuck in the flats. The skateboarding was scarey at first for a 48 year old woman riding a mini mal, but by following the prescriptive instructions on the Amanzi program it actually was easy to get confident then take that into the water. I feel like i've learnt 5 years of surfing skills in just several months because the program was so focused on what i needed to know, without any of the other stuff which these online training programs often include. I'm even using the stuff i have learnt from Amanzi for when i coach my kids, their progress shows just a simple and clear the instructions and drills are - even my 5 year old gets it :)

Learning to surf is stressful. Battling through white water to get out, fighting currents to stay in place, identifying your status in the lineup and having to deal with the alphas, paddling into a looming set-all are just precursors to catching the wave. Then tunnel vision compresses your view, paddling blindly into a wave, feeling it smash behind you, struggling to pop-up and then the disappointment when the wave closes out in front of you because you’ve failed to build speed. Clayton, Amanzi’s founder, is able to break all these stressors down, and using vivid metaphors and studiously thought out explanations, extend these panicky milliseconds into relaxed interregnums in which you can luxuriantly enjoy your surfing.

Clayton is a brilliant surfing coach, he has a unique ability to explain to just about anyone what they need to do to improve their surfing. He takes complex movements and breaks them down into simple easy to follow improvement methods...I can only guess that this comes from many years of deep thinking and practical experience. Working with Clayton I and my friends improved more in a week than we would have otherwise improved in years. We're now enjoying our surfing A LOT more than prior. Well worth your time and money.

These programs of Clayton's are super awesome!! As he notes, the years of coaching experience has given him a deep well of extremely functional advice and physical movement training & awareness techniques. The Amanzi content is unbelievably valuable in its simplicity and yet profoundly applicable nature which directly correlates to our surfing technique and performance riding waves! The progression of applying the concepts from flat ground (cardboard) to Bosu (stability variable) to skateboarding (stability physical movement) is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to grow their surf technique and neuromuscular memory for a lifetime of surfing your best.

Clayton is a great coach. After my first lesson I was able to identify my faults and instantly learnt how to fix them using the muscle memory techniques and video reviews. These guys are great.

I think is really important to release an app or at least a pwa. So we don’t need Internet connection to see saved videos for instance . How the app does s not available in Auatralia !!!!

I'm in the UK, so I've never been to the OMBE shop (it's a bit far away to drop in!) but their online training courses are excellent!
