I visited several local bike shops to start my mountain bike research. As soon as I walked through the door at Trek Bikes Cary, I was greeted and assisted. I was able to test ride a couple of different bikes and figured out the sizing and style I was looking for. The employee (sorry, I cannot remember her name- she was amazing) also told me about Trek’s Red Barn bike shop which is an online store you can buy refurbished used bikes from Trek. (It’s linked in the website trekbikes.com). Refurbished bikes really appeal to me for many reasons. I watched Red Barn for a few weeks and finally bought a used 2022 Fuel EX 7 full suspension mountain bike. It arrived at my house a few days later with simple instructions for assembly and all the tools I needed) I am new to full suspension. I assembled and brought my new used bike to Trek Bikes Cary and was immediately helped by Jeremy. He took the time to review my assembly and explain the shocks, their maintenance and how to adjust them. He took my bike for several test rides as we worked out the kinks (there were not many- just a goofy chain which he fixed). Jeremy worked with me for over an hour and was informative, explained the bike well and answered all my questions. His customer service was above and beyond. I frequented the bike shop years ago when it was under different ownership but really haven’t been back much since Trek bought it. It is great to see the customer service has remained top tier. Definitely recommend Trek Bikes Cary for all your biking needs.

While we worked with some very talented people at the Cary Trek store over a long period of time trying to decide on the best E-Bikes, Courtney was able to "close the deal" with a nice soft and informative approach. As retirees who have enjoyed nice bike rides, we wanted an option to continue this activity with E-assist technology. The highly rated Verve line addressed what we were looking for. We were able to take advantage of some seasonal price breaks (and just beat the tariff impact) that made us feel good about our purchase. The team there went very far to make us feel comfortable about our purchase and emphasized their commitment to us to service their product during our ownership. They even gave us a small credit for our Trek 700's that we had purchase some time ago on the West Coast and will donate them to a charitable cause. They have a very strong commitment to the area's biking community. Again, we are looking forward to working with the great team there for our Trek bikes.

I really appreciated all of the time and assistance that all the employees gave me while I was looking for the right bike. They set up 3 different bikes for test rides and talked through the differences, giving me all the details I needed to make a decision. I love the bike I got!

Overall, good experience. I took my NON-Trek ebike in for service of the rear hydraulic brake. It was repaired, but I asked for a level 1 service to check that my assembled bike was ride ready. The found a rear wheel nut stripped, I sourced the replacement 12mm nut from the local Town & Country, and everything checked out. Glad to have a bicycle shop close to my downtown address. And convenient access to the Greenway too! I was able to ride home from Trek.

We were out the door after paying for a level 1 maintenance package. The technician saw my son through the window taking a spin around the lot and noticed the front suspension was a bit soft. He came out with the right tool for the job and adjusted the pressure for my son's current weight. I was very impressed that he cared enough to go out of his way to make sure everything was just right.
I highly recommend this store.
