Mortgage Monkey-Direct Mortgage were wonderful and helped make our dream a reality. All the staff were so amazing to work with. Gary Boyer and Kendra were amazing and really were always responsive to my emails or calls. They were always available to answer questions we had. We sold our home and they made our dream possible of a new beautiful home happen. We didn't have the perfect credit but they still were able to help us get in to another home even though it took a while to sell ours. If you think of buying a home and maybe you don't have the perfect credit you need to call Monkey Mortgage you may be surprised. When we sold our home and bought another, the closing dates were very tight together and they made the whole process happen with NO issues. Even though it was a little wracking we were able to let them do their job and they got everything together and made it happen with no delay. Thanks for being so wonderful! We love our new beautiful home in Scappoose!

We were referred to Gary as a "Great Finance Guy" from a friend who is a real estate agent. This was not an exaggeration. We got into the perfect house for us so quickly, starting with very little to no experience. Gary was a call or email away for the whole process (within minutes sometimes). We had a million little questions, and he responded to each one so quickly and with exactly the info we needed to feel confident at every step of the process. Buying a house is scary. Gary not only helped us buy a house, he taught us how to buy a house! This is a person you want in your corner. We have been in our home for two months now, and we couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Gary at Mortgage Monkey / Director's Mortgage!

My husband and I have worked with Gary and his team twice now and we recommend them to anyone who mentions home buying in our presence. However, we just realized that we had never left a review online. Our first meeting with Gary was amazing. He stayed late so that we could meet after I got off work and he answered ALL of our questions. He never acted frustrated or in a hurry. He was the epitome of patience. He made us feel like we could actually buy our first house. Throughout the whole process, he was super available and answered any questions that cropped up. Gary, Kendra, Renee, and everyone else we worked at Mortgage Monkey with made our first home buying experience so smooth. During the pre-approval phase I especially appreciated how Gary took the time to talk through all of the details on our estimate and the loan process so we really understood our future mortgage from the beginning. He also took a more practical and responsible approach to helping us figure out what house price we could afford than other lenders I'd talked to. Instead of just calculating the most expensive house price we would be approved for given our income, Gary helped us find a price range that still left room for retirement savings, home improvements, etc., and also made sure we factored in closing costs so that our savings weren't entirely wiped out on closing day. Once we were under contract the whole Mortgage Monkey team was very responsive and helped us meet our ambitious 4 week closing timeline, even factoring in some changes at the last minute to get us a lower interest rate. Gary and team are clearly experts at what they do and I can't recommend them highly enough.

GARY BOYER is the absolute best!. First time buying a home you can only imagine the millions of questions going through your head, the concerns and the impatience. Gary made it so easy for us answering every question you can possibly have being a home buyer for the first time. He became our best friend and someone we trusted as family

As a single, first-time home buyer without the advantage of family money to fall back on or an exceptionally high-paying job, I was still determined to buy a home with my good credit, stable employment, and what savings I did have. Gary Boyer and his team were instrumental in getting me into my first home. I started looking into buying a home with little idea of what I was doing or what the process would entail, but Gary guided me through everything with knowledgeable, personal service and answered all of my amateur questions quickly and kindly. I went to Directors Mortgage because I was looking for local, personal service. I had heard many stories of people who went to big national banks for their mortgage and regretted it. With Directors, everything happens quickly and efficiently. Gary responded to my questions immediately, even on nights and weekends. I appreciate everything Gary and his team did guiding me through an extensive and sometimes complicated process and happy to now be a homeowner.

My partner and I had been searching for a home in Portland for 2 years. After having three of our loans fall through with other mortgage brokers we were feeling discouraged and jaded. We finally met Gary through a trusted referral from a friend. Gary was able to work with our complicated financial situation with ease and reinstill the trust we needed to make this huge purchase. Within three weeks we got our dream home. Gary was there every step of the way, answering questions as well as supporting us through the emotional turmoil of first time buying. Everything went incredibly smoothly and as I sit in the home I never thought I would have I can honestly say, “Thank you Gary, you made this possible!”

Gary and his team did a great job. I needed to close on the sell of my current house and the purchase of my new one as close to the same time as possible and they were able to make that happen in a quick and timely matter. They were also gracious in taking my calls and answering any questions I had and give status updates.

I wish if there is more than five stars to rate these guys with , me and my family were lucky to have such an amazing person like gary in our home search tour , actually gary and his stuff were so nice and helpful, they helped my dream to become true, I was dreaming to purchase a house and now I owned a house by just being with these amazing guys, I really appreciate them and they are highly recommended , go ahead and be a home owner with monkey mortgage don’t hesitate they are the best ever.

My wife and I were looking to purchase our first home, Gary of course was our first choice, and I am glad he was. Gary has been a client of mine for the last 3 years, and it was nice to finally be the client. Gary and his team are literally the best in the business, I can’t speak from much experience but there was not a step in the process that they missed. Our mortgage went to underwriting and there wasn’t a thing they needed, let alone it allowed us to close a week early. Gary was always there to answer any and all questions that my wife and I had throughout this process. Gary reviewed my loan with me and confirmed that I was getting a good rate and that the fees were reasonable. He was honest and candid and if I ever need another mortgage broker I will use Gary.

We bought our first home this past October and Gary, Kendra and Jessica could not have made it easier. The information they relayed was always very clearly and thoroughly presented (important for a first time home buyer) and they were patient and available at all times to answer my incredibly rookie questions!! They were also able to hurry the closing in order to accommodate us so we could get out of our rental house before having to pay for any time spent there in November. Oh, and the kicker was our low interest rate they locked in for us!!

Thank you for helping us with the financing to get into our home. Over a period of years (almost 3 years) we planned the financing and credit score improvement techniques. Using Gary’s suggestions we improved one of the co-borrower’s credit score but almost 200 points using techniques suggested. The loan process was pretty smooth and we were offered the ability to close the transaction close to 2 weeks early because the finance documents were ready ahead of time due to early completion of loan requirements. Directors Mortgage and Gary’s team were full of insights about the process and the secure document exchange and signing website was easy to use and understand. I had a much better experience with Gary then the last mortgage broker I used. If you are looking for a professional team who knows what they are talking about give Gary a call even years in advance!
