A cool place in Lagos with a great atmosphere, serving quality food and drink. Walking down the Rua 25 de Abril on our first day in Lagos with my wife, we saw the PIE bar sign and went upstairs to investigate. Asked for 2 x Algarve Pale Ale Craft beers and went to the outside seating area. As we were drinking and talking, we saw the specials menu which had Flaming Chorizo at the top of the chalkboard. We'd been looking for this on our travels in Madeira, Lisbon and the Algarve, but not managed to find any. Once ordered and eaten we were hooked! Since the first visit, we returned twice more during our short week in Lagos and had the Chorizo as a starter before sampling the brilliant pie menu as well. It is a great place with a friendly team who provide excellent and fast service, plus the beers and wine are great. We like Portuguese food, but if you want a change and fancy some quality comfort food, PIE is your place. Very highly recommended.

Have been in Portugal including Madeira for 2 months and this was a top 4 restaurant of all the many places we ate at. The service was super friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was fun and relaxing. But the BEST was the FOOD!!! We were a party of 5 and each had a different pie and one of us had ribs. Every plate was so, so, sooooo delicious : fish, vegetable, chicken. I had the chicken pie with a phyllo top, side of mashed and veg. I wish to the food gods I could make a pie this delicious ... tons of fresh chicken, a beautiful creamy sauce, seasoned to perfection and the PASTRY.... Generous servings, very reasonably priced and the pitchers of green wine were a perfect accompaniment. Oh.. they have Happy Hour too! Next Portugal visit (hopefully 2024) we will go out of our way to eat here at PIE!!!!

I’ve had pies in many countries, including England. Best pie I’ve ever had. Great craft beer. Great staff. Music could be better, but not auto tuned offensive ,so ignorable. Highest recommendation.

My wife and I enjoyed a very spontaneous visit to PIE while on our honeymoon. The atmosphere was laid back and enjoyable. We had some fantastic dishes while also enjoying fun and lively conversation with our server/bartender. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy going and fun afternoon. Great experience with Amelia behind the bar! Personal conversation and fun experience.

Just need to keep the smokers at bay or have them be considerate of those eating dinner outside on a lovely evening. The food was well worth it.

What a lovely place, especially the little terrace outside. I had the ribs as per their recommendation and honestly they did not disappoint as they were delicious! My wife had the hummus with bread and vegetables. We really enjoyed the place and stopped by a few more times for drinks. As we land in Lagos at least once a month, will be sure to come back. Friendly staff!

First visit We'd been meaning to get down to Pie Lagos for some months and finally got around to it. It's situated right in the town and as such free parking close by is not easy but there is an underground car park off the main boulevard pretty close and probably the best bet. This was our first visit and it certainly didn't disappoint. The food was excellent - we had steak and onion pie and it was beautifully served with mash and veg a gravy boat. Fantastic! There's also a nice range of local beers which naturally had to be sampled. Its most certainly recommend and we will definitely be back in the new year. Steve & Hilda

If you're looking for an alternative to standard Portuguese fare this is a great place. The pies are generously sized and very tasty, several options. Good range of craft beer on tap including an excellent IPA of their making. Friendly staff and fast service.

Simply delicious food! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I had the Creamy Chicken Pie with the flaky top, seasonal veg and real mashed potatoes and gravy plus a small beer for about 14 euros. The chicken was tender. The mashed potatoes and gravy was just perfect and, the pastry was flaky and buttery. Comfort food at its finest. I highly recommend Pie Lagos!!!
