We heard about this place about 18 months ago. As regular visitors to Lagos we've always had our favourite restaurants so never thought to try this one. However, last night that changed and we were kicking ourselves for not visiting sooner. We were given a very friendly welcome and although we'd booked a table, we were still given the choice of sitting inside or outside. The concept of pie is a tad unusual your pie has a crusted case bottom and then you choose your choice of topping. I had the steak pie with a puff pastry top, Hubbie had the chicken pie with the puff pastry top which he said was delicious. We could have chosen to top it with mash instead if we wanted to and you get a choice to add cheese. There was a good choice of potatoes (chips, mashed, new) and a good choice of side dishes. The vegetables were very tasty. There is a specials menu and a snack menu so you don't have to have pie if you don't want it. I couldn't eat my whole pie, so I took the other half home! The little pot of gravy that came with the pie was tasty, I would have liked it to be thicker but that is just personal taste and did not dampen our food experience in any way. Both staff members were warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The only thing you need to be aware of, is that the stairs going up to PIE are rather steep, but there is a sturdy hand rail on the right hand side to help you up. PIE is definitely worth a visit.
