Have a repetitive history with the guitar - periods of playing a limited, self taught menu of things that eventually result in frustration and boredom and my putting my guitar away until the next time. So this is the "next time." I've finished one week of the 30-day challenge and feeling good about what I've learned. Looking forward to week 2.

At 54 years old and a true beginner who had never played guitar before, I discovered TAC while taking online lessons with Justin Guitar, learning my first cowboy chords on a Fender Stratocaster. After just one day with TAC, I was completely hooked. Excited by the progress I was already making, I purchased a Taylor GS KOA Mini from Sweetwater—a guitar that perfectly suits my rotator cuff injury from my military service and has quickly become one I truly love. What I appreciate most about TAC is Tony’s ability to guide you through each exercise in a way that’s both clear and genuinely fun. Within the first week, my playing had transformed. My wife, who used to politely tolerate my early practice sessions, now sits beside me and enjoys listening as the songs come together. There’s something incredibly rewarding about being able to put together real, usable music so quickly—music you can carry with you for a lifetime. I wake up every morning excited to pick up the guitar and keep lear

Contemplating my retirement with nerve damage in my left hand I thought playing the guitar would help with the dexterity in my hand but I have always been a dabbler get frustrated and forget it. I wanted something different.I was watching YouTube and your video came up… I heard how confident you were that I could learn to play and you explained the difference between practicing and playing and it made sense to me. So I did the five day challenge and it actually sounded a little musical.I signed up for TAC after the 5 day challenge and I’m enjoying sitting down with my guitar to play with the videos. I actually look forward to it s as part of my me time.I’ll never be Mark Knoffler or Glen Campbell but if I could play the “Unicorn” song for my granddaughter I’ll be the happiest guy you ever met.

I have tried one on one, in person lessons, self guided course book instruction, group lessons and various chord book instruction for learning to play guitar. None of them stuck for one reason or another. So far, I am two and a half months into TAC and though my playing is still modest I notice progress. The system of a 5 day routine based around a single tune that addresses specific and related issues makes progress tangible. Tony also reminds his students to note their progress and trust the process. Seeing the results makes me want to continue the short but daily and focused program Tony has developed.

I retired in February and want to spend time relearning the guitar, which I had played a bit in high school and college. At that time, I knew a few chords so I could play and sing along to a few folk songs and soft rock. I recently began a guitar course at a senior center and began to learn a lot more about the fretboard positions and the pentatonic scales that I had never explored before. I was surfing the web for background tracks (something not available back in the day), when I came across the TAC program. I was really impressed by Tony’s presentation, so I began the 30-day course. It won me over! The website is tremendous – easy to navigate and a real guitar playground! The videos make me feel as though Tony is right there with me showing me how to play the notes and apply the techniques. I like that I can mark the 30-day exercises as “favorites” so I can go back for review at any time. And every lesson has a pdf for download so I can practice without the computer, too.

I’m growing quite a bit. Was previously just a strummer and am now much more in sync with the guitar as an extension. Many many skills are rudimentary at best. But being able to move on to the next lesson without perfecting the prior lesson is great, and different than my past musical training on other instruments.

TAC is a refreshing approch to learning guitar. I was like most beginners, stuck in a rut playing the SOS, expecting improvement. I have signed up for most of the popular online programs and did learn quite a bit of fundamental tecniques, but I was under the impression that I had to master chords, chord transitions, strumming, fingerpicking, barre chords, etc. before I could ever improvise and start playing licks to songs. The 30 day challenge has got me so excited to "play" guitar and not practice. It's a subtle change but it works!

Loving TAC! I was looking for a fun and sustainable guitar routine that would help me grow in my understanding, skill and enjoyment with my guitar. This is the answer. I've only been in the community for a couple of weeks and I can already see the difference. Tony is a GREAT Teacher..and a pretty cool Kat.

I stumbled onto the 5 day challenge, stuck with it and had more fun and success in a short time than 1 year of lessons. Joined TAC and am now working on the 12 bar blues. I pick up my guitar, login, learn, practice, play for 30-60 minutes a day. Very impressed with the system. Thank you Tony!

So far good. I’ve been playing for a while but never really worked at it. Just a week in and I’m getting the 12 bar blues down. Feeling better every time I play. Looking forward to getting better and back into it. My goal is to one day play in an old man cover band!

I always wanted to learn to play the guitar, but I was hesitant to try because I am not well educated on reading music and am not musically gifted. At 67 years old, I feared my hands and my mind were no longer nimble enough to learn how to do play. My wife bought me my first guitar for our 40th anniversary. I immediately signed up for TAC after seeing some of the Facebook posts and consulting a performer friend who said that Tony was a great teacher. And she was right! It **is** daunting to try to stretch fingers to play chords, or to get clear and crisp notes while fretting. But Tony's constant encouragement and admonition that it is not only okay to be imperfect and experience difficulty has propelled me through my first week. I can already see a HUGE improvement, and am anxious to learn more!

TAC has changed the way I practice guitar. I look forward to a new challenge every week day and then I repeat the 5 lessons on the weekend. I’m having a lot of fun with it and Tony is so motivating. It’s also nice to know that I don’t have to be perfect to move on! I think this course is great for people like me who need steady guidance on what to practice and how. I also love that we learn from songs and learn different aspects of the song from strumming to soloing to embellishing chords, etc. The guitar stories are great as well! At first I was hesitant to sign up because I was afraid I would not stick with it but the opposite is true. Even after being away on a trip most of the month I could not wait to jump back in! Thanks Tony!

I'm a rank beginner to start. 3wks into the 30 days section. I've been a craftsman/ artist most of my life. A very visual learning person. I do woodworking ,chainsaw carvings, and a little timber framing as well. I started the Challenge to try to expand my creativity and focus . I've chosen to learn an instrument to that end. I like how Tony has this set up because it gets me out of my over analysis mode. I fumble with " Fat Fingers" when it comes to chords but have finally hit a G chord cord a few times. The C and D "not so much," yet. Ha. all in time. I'm committed to at least a full year . I suspect I'm hooked for a much longer term. FWIW: I'm 68yrs. old. thanks,Paul

I started guitar lessons 30 years ago. After less than a year, "life" and "more important things" got in the way. A few of months ago, I had a renewed interest in playing and decided to take a few lessons. The trouble was, the teacher wanted to teach me how to play a song, while I wanted to learn to play guitar. I saw a few "Play like Clapton in 30 days" type ads that, well, you know...Several YouTube comments highly recommended TAC. After watching a couple of Acoustic Tuesdays, I felt comfortable enrolling with TAC and I'm very glad I did. I'll never be "Clapton", but I'm learning and, best of all, having a great time!

I'm a long time "musician" (piano and trumpet through high school) so I read music and understand the theory. Been playing the guitar for 3 years (after a VERY long hiatus). My wife bought me a Taylor 215 CE Koa for Christmas 3 years ago and I've been trying to take the next step so I thought I'd give it a try. While some of the lessons are very basic I love the concept of playing for 10 minutes EVERY day! I'm progressing well and so far there hasn't been any "oh I can't do this" moments. I'm retired so unless I have something out of town I try and play every day. I looked up the fretboard wizard but honestly didn't feel the price was worth it since I already have the theory.....

Tony, you have such a great way to make beginners feel comfortable! When you say "You're a Guitar Player", I absolutely feel it. Thank you. I am having so much fun learning the Blues. I am even practicing more than 10 minutes. YAY!

Hey Tone I feel like I've already answered this inquiry. But as an afterthought I'd like to add - in addition to my pursuit of fulfilling a lifelong dream (we're talking more than 40 years of one way; some day). In the fall of 2025 I started taking my first face-to-face guitar lessons. My instructor is first a friend. He is also a K-12 guitar teacher -and- a professional musician. He frequently plays in one of several cantinas here in QRO, MX. In the short time I've been delving into TAC I feel as if I've learned more with TAC than I have in 6 months of weekly 1:1 lessons. #thankful

I really like the TAC program. This is my first time playing guitar and I feel like I'm making some nice progress. Finding it hard to find the time to be more consistent.

Tony, this has been almost perfect for me. The only problem I have is I can’t get the sheet music and your video up together on my iPad. Also I used to get one days lesson once a week when I went to someone so I’m not great at keeping up with the week. But knowing I can really go at my own pace is very gratifying. I bought a new Taylor 50th anniversary 912 ce and it sounds great! This method is perfect for my lifestyle and after setting down my guitar 30 years ago, my figers are working better and the little knowledge I retained has helped me to keep up to some degree.

I’ve done at least 10 minutes a day with a couple missed days along the way on the 30 day start up and the 5 day challenge. I certainly don’t feel like I mastered each of the lessons but believe in Tony that they will be used in the future and I’ll have an another go at the lessons. I’ve started the weekly’s and find it a challenge to go even at the slower pace but love the chord transitions the best. After tuning I just like to strum 8-10 different chords to practice transitions. Vacations will start to get in the way but when back home plan to do some reviews and further weekly challenges. Thanks Tony. Love your strategies and positive attitude. Regards, Bill

Have been through all the intro stuff. Ready to start the 30 day challenge but… I am going to Alaska for ten days and since my wife won’t let me buy a plane ticket for my new guitar, I am going to wait until mid June to start. Note, I am playing/poking everyday until I go.

I have struggled to learn guitar off and on since 1978, lessons in the mid 80s, that just focused on learning a song, not mechanics, techniques, or Why's and How's. Guitar Friends that have helped, but not really teachers. I learned Cords and individual notes on the fretboard and I used the guitar "alone" as a meditation mostly just playing notes to song I love and trying to strum. The biggest thing was I never really knew what to do with my right hand. I have learned more in the past three weeks hear at TAC than I have learned in over 45 years and I have understood and enjoyed each lesson. I love how Tony breaks down songs into teachable learnable bites of Technique, Licks, Rythem, Cords, and more. It has helped me see music in a totally different way. I am having fun with my guitars again, instead of them collecting dust on a wall. I look foward every morning to getting up, getting my coffee and starting my next day at TAC. Thank you Tony for being the teacher that I have ne

I'm a total beginner. I've never really been passionate about playing. I'm a visual learner, artist, craftsman. I am a woodworker/chainsaw carver/timber framer. I'm hoping to learn to expand my creativity into this other realm. I'm 68 and wanted to learn an instrument. I have no grand dreams to become anything other than a casual player. It's a personal endeavor for me. Your course seemed low stress so I went with it. I'm glad i did. I like the " non perfectionist style to the lessons" although it is a challenge sometime for me not to lock into one thing until perfected. "Show up, trust the system, focus on the little wins." So far, so good. thank you for putting it together. I feel it's well worth the investment.
