I have been a guitar wannabe for years and the cycle was always the same. Either I would become discouraged by lack of progress or I would reach a point where I didn’t know what to do next. So I would set the guitar aside.Tony’s approach has given me a totally different perspective. Daily commitment of scheduling only ten minutes with the guitar takes the pressure off, yet generates a little guilt if skipped. Exposure to technique above my current skill level keeps the lessons fresh and interesting.I’m one of those people who isn’t blessed with natural musical talent. But I do believe that I can learn to play the guitar. I need structure and direction and that’s what I’m getting from TAC. Not everyone can teach but Tony is perfect.

I am/was a rhythm guitar player, using what I knew for singing and playing with a Kid’s Club church gathering and worship team in a small rural church. I had always wanted to improve and explore finger picking and melody playing just to had spice to my strumming. Thanks to TAC that is happening.

I am a total beginer. I have found everything to be a challenge but I am hanging with it. I show up! My husband said he can see my improvements. He played drums in a band when I met him 48 years ago. He is impressed with your style of teaching and to my surprise he seems to be impressed with my progress in such a short time. I have found it hard to keep moving on to another challenge without perfecting the last one but I am trusting your method.I have encouraged two friends to check out your program.

I was hesitant because I felt I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Your methodology is easy to follow and works. I’ve truly surprised myself. Thank you for your ongoing encouragement.

I love learning to play the guitar with Tony. He obviously is very talented and a great instructor. I really like his laid-back demeanor. I think I am a little slower than some students, but that's okay, I want to really understand what I'm learning here and not feel rushed. Thanks Tony.

I have been wanting to learn guitar for so many years. I just ordered the class and a guitar online. Probably sounds silly and I know I'll get a frown from my husband, but I am not doing this for him, I guess its a bucket list thing. I'll be 70 this year. If not now, when? Am I right!?

Tony,I'm very pleased with your approach.Right away I became aware of why over the many years it was stop and go with my lessons and progress. I took private lessons, on line lessons, and going it alone. None of those methods worked because of being overwhelmed with information, trying to get it perfect, and the lack of a good enjoyable method of learning.Your approach of taking the pressure off by limiting the practice time, taking it in small bite size pieces, not trying to do it perfectly, and not repeating lessons has changed everything for me. With the pressure and frustration eliminated I'm focused on the music. As you said this is about exposure and the improvement comes over time. Now I'm feeling the fun and love the process!

Feel confident recommending TAC? Are you crazy? This program has been great! Right now I am moving slow, but that is my schedule right now. As for the program and lessons- TAC has my highest recommendation. Definitely a quality product, the ROI is astronomical. Ed Boddie 28m

I turned 79 in December and needed to find something to fill my winter downtime because of not being able to play golf here in Spokane. I was on YouTube watching people tell of their Sasquatch encounter when one of Tony's videos pop up. I have always envied people who can play the guitar and wished I could to, but thought I needed to be musically gifted to learn how. Tony's presentation made sense to me, so I explored a bit further. Wow! There are a lot of YouTube instructors out there! I'm a person who needs structure and a defined process for guitar lessons, because I knew absolutely nothing. Tony provides that and more. I appreciate his positive attitude and constant reinforcement. I like that I don't have hours of chord memorization, and that I started learning how to actually play the guitar right away with the blues segment. I'm having fun and learning something new every week. My goal is to be to be able to jam with a friend that plays guitar in small band.

I didn’t know about the TAC program. I was looking for one of the reviews Tony did for a Martin guitar and came across the ad. I wanted to figure out what he was playing when he did the review. I wound up clicking on the ad and it kept me interested throughout. I didn’t really hesitate but wanted to know how much it costed and how much time I needed to devote. But by the end of the ad I pretty much knew I was in. After becoming a member I found everything said in the ad was the way the program is and I love it. No pressure, I don’t need to master everything before moving on, it took me back through the basics, I learned stuff I didn’t know, I am playing every day and having fun. The program is laid out great and I think it would be good for any level of player.

I have tried a few different online guitar courses. None before Tony's did i feel they had a process that kept guitar interesting and fun. None before kept me engaged, and its all about being engaged. I like that the focus is on keep moving and it will come. I can get hung up on trying for perfection when what i need most is repetition. I still try for perfection, but that's on me, its not what Tony encourages. His thing is do your best and stay with it. I have had more eye opening understandings in a month than in two years and because of the holidays i am only doing it a few days a week. I am excited to have opportunity to really make the challenges Daily challenges. This course is great!!!

At first everything seemed to be a bit much. Intimidated by the pace of the lessons and how I thought I was not accomplishing what I should. But I just kept with the program and moved on. Now after weeks of challenges, I feel confident and accomplished to a degree where I find myself getting the challenges, looking forward to more challenges, and picking up and playing my guitar any time I get a chance.

Plenty of value here and lots to learn. I love learning all ways that are new to me. Long ago I played mainly chords and some picking, very basic folk music of the 60's. It's really exciting learning all this new stuff. Wish I could remember it all before I moved on. Seems like there is not enough time to complete something and master it. I fall behind a lot but there's always something new to learn. Not sure how much better I've gotten but the important thing for me is not to get bored and i certainly won't with this breadth of teaching guitar.

I absolutely love this program and would recommend it to anyone who wants to gain confidence playing guitar. The format, the delivery and organization of the website are next level, and there is a lot to choose from. Thank you, Tony, for the work and passion you have put into this program! Thanks for keeping brain science at the forefront and making a platform that keeps learners engaged and on track.

After doing the free 5 day challenge I was inspired to keep going and had no hesitation to sign up for my first year. The format is great and keeps me motivated. If one day is particularly hard and challenging, I know there are days (lessons) that will be easier, or at least offer small wins.

I really like the lessons I have to spend more than 10 minutes and I still am not great at any of the lessons. It seems I really have a hard time keeping time. But I haven’t really done the play along parts enough. I missed part of it by being sick then I burned my ring finger but pressed on then I sprained same finger. And three days ago a dog severely bit my middle finger all on my fret hand. But I pressed on and practiced anyway, even though I couldn’t put lots of pressure I decided to work on my timing. Through all of these excuses to quit the program still has me interested and I look forward to no practice every day.

I picked up my first guitar in 1967... I can still smell the wood coming out of the cardboard box. The Beatles were still writing new songs. I went to my first lessons... the strings hurt...I quit. Fast forward to 2010 I decided it was time to try again...bought a new Yamaha...and went to my next-door neighbor who taught music... but work, family, and my motorcycle took all my free time. The guitar went in the corner. Now... everything is in place, a system that I can be committed to, dedicated to the daily effort...and 60 days in... the progress is slow for these 68-year-old fingers. The calluses have formed on the fingertips... I get the chords right half the time. My strumming sucks. My push-ons and pull-offs are awful. It's taking a lot longer than I want. But I know I have no music talent, just plenty of desire. And don't ask my singing is going. I have little rhythm. But finally, pieces are starting to work. Progress not perfection.

Did I really want spend money for an online course when I could just stream online and get similar information on the basics of guitar playing. When I joined TAC, I found a highly structured, well thought out course on guitar playing that is based on powerful educational principles. The thing I love most about TAC is Tony’s enthusiasm and personalityIt works best for someone like me, an elderly retired man who sees more of life in the rear view mirror than he does in front.I I have a few age related physical issues that hold me back a bit but I just do the best I can

I have been a member since early December 2025. Since I have made a few guitars, it was time to learn to play them. I was looking for guitar courses and found Tony's Acoustic Challenge. His teaching style is right up my alley. This is an enjoyable learning process, and it's a real plus that my wife enjoys hearing me practice.

I'm going on about 2 weeks into TAC and I find I can't stop grabbing my guitar and sitting in front of my computer to learn more. I've been playing "at" guitar for years, after putting my guitar away during the years I was raising my children. I started back several years ago with the prompting of my church's band, but found myself wanting to do so much more than the chords and strums I've picked up along the way, mostly learned from friends. WOW! There is so much more to unlock on the fretboard and I am just hungry to learn all that I was totally mystified about before now. Finally, the best way I can imagine to "dig in" and truly learn all the guitar can do!! Tony is a genius!

I joined TAC improve playing the guitar. The lessons have added a much needed encouragement and structure to my efforts. Working on rhythm playing for the last 4 years with limited improvement. These classes are making me work on multiple area's I have ignored or procrastinated to learn. The mental challenge and skill development, while challenging, are also rewarding when improvements are achieved. I really like having the lessons assigned. The group comments are awesome and encouraging.

I learned to play guitar back when The Beatles and James Taylor were major musical influences. I reached the point where I could play the chords needed for the songs I loved, but I never developed the skill or confidence to play comfortably around others. I also convinced myself that I just “wasn’t rhythmic,” and I let those two self-imposed limitations keep me from playing for nearly 45 years.Recently, I came across your engaging introductory video, and it sparked something in me — the belief that maybe I could learn to play with confidence and simply enjoy it. So I signed up and decided to begin again. It’s now been over 60 days of daily lessons, and I haven’t missed a single day. I genuinely look forward to each challenge and to seeing what you’ll help us accomplish next.I deeply appreciate your wisdom in not letting perfectionism or overcomplication get in the way of steady, systematic progress. You’ve made growth feel achievable — and enjoyable.

Hi Tony, For the first two or three lessons I've found them to be worth the time invested and the cost of the classes. However, I've not been able to continue the lessons because of medical issues with my thumbs. Arthritis. I'd like to continue if this problem ever becomes tolerable. Good classes!
