Five days in and I have learned a lot. For example, I learned how to tune my guitar, I learned the 6 strings of the guitar, how to read the guitar tablature, and I can play some of the Blues baseline very, very slowly. I am having challenges with moving my fingers to the correct frets, especially my pinkly finger. It doesn't want to cooperate. I'm hoping TAC can help me with finger exercises or something else that will improve this area of concern. I'm excited to be moving onto the TAC daily challenges.

Awesome! I wake every day excited about a new lesson. I don't have to think about what to do next. I simply pick up my guitar, tune it & complete the lesson. I stay focused, energized & positive. Great decision to enroll in "The Challenge"

Tony, I started TAC without having first completed the 30 day into. Thus I was not at all ready for TAC. I have since backed up and started the 30-Day. Once completed I wil begin TAC. Will I be able to put TAC on-hold for the 30 days and begin it later? So far I like what I see and am enjoying the Blues Shuffle practice.

Hey Tony. I’m 67 and have rheumatoid arthritis. I’m retired after having and beating stage 4 lymphoma. I told my doctor that I’m learning to play and he said from looking at the X-rays of my hands, unless he heard that from me he wouldn’t believe it. I’m a retired cabinet maker and my hands are still in pretty good shape. I’m determined to do this and I like the way you go about teaching. You seem like a cool dude and someone I could actually hang with. Lol. Where I struggle is with the fingering like for example the G chord. I spend days just trying to get my fingers to those positions. I started out with “ breakthrough guitar” but find myself more drawn to you and your personality. As I said I’m determined and feel the need to be with my guitar. Haha. My girlfriend is amazed at how much I practice at it. She’s hard of hearing which at this point in my guitar journey is probably a godsend. It’s really a relationship with the guitar and now you. I look forward to learning.

Encouraging accountability. Lessons are short so feeling accomplished. Playing a simple blues riff. Success with real music. Looking forward to the next lesson and where I will be in three months, six months. Excited. If guitar is something you ever pondered this method will work.

This was a very fun lick. I asked for lessons for an early Christmas gift. I haven’t picked up my guitar in years. I am the description of what Toni says. I started in 1979 with lessons. Put it down picked it up 20 yrs later. Put it down and just picked it up again 15 years later. I finally feel like I could progress this time. We will see what this next year brings. Thank you for the encouragement.

Since 2020 I have been a member of Tony’s TAC family! Have enjoyed learning licks that have enabled me to play songs I enjoy from the 60’s and 70’s especially Old Man by Neil Young! Only suggestion is end of the week print the whole song out with the cords learned the lick perhaps even lyrics!

Two years. Two years. That's how long I took private guitar lessons and at the end I knew a few riffs but couldn't manage a cord transition and couldn't play one song. Frustrated, I put the guitar down for ten years. Last year I saw Tony's ad and thought it looked promising. A year later there was a Black Friday sale. I decided to sign up for the whole year and I'm hooked. I have learned more in three weeks and had more fun in three weeks than I ever had before. I'm confident in another month or less I'll be able to play an entire song. I want to play every day. I enjoy playing every day. I never thought I could do this before now.

This was exactly what I needed to get me practicing my guitar skills on a consistent basis. I really needed the structure and a set plan and that is exactly what this course delivers. It is ideally suited to improving my playing to sing alongs with my friends. I have been just strumming along for years but needed a boost to help me sound better and play in a more interesting way and this has been perfect. Tony's instruction is top notch and it really is a lot of fun. I never thought I would tackle a solo and Tony had me trying this on my very first week! So many wins! Thank you Tony!!!

I’ve signed up for couple of online programs n was disappointed only because the way they were arranged was confusing with no set plan on how to follow or where to go next. With this program I find the directions are clear on how to progress and Tony goes slow n explains each step clearly and you have the opportunity to go back n review all the lessons. It’s a broad spectrum of lessons which will enhance your playing ability. I’m ver satisfied so far.

This program was exactly what I was looking for. Keeps me playing consistently and challenging enough to make me feel like I am getting better and really progressing. I look forward to it everyday.

Tony, I was 18 years old when I purchased my Gibson Classic C-1D and started taking classical lessons. Then life happened. I would play a few cords when no one was around. Now, 60 years later, Im determined to learn. I obviously am a procrastinator (60 years), but your course is giving me a belief, a method and accountability. I learn best by watching the learn and play. I have difficulty stretching my fingers and pressing the strings hard enough, but I have no fear of being able to do this. Thank you for teaching me how to play.

Big week. I just celebrated my first year with the TAC program. I completed 333 sessions and am on day 85 of my longest streak so far. I told myself when I started that when I completed my first year, I would buy myself my first guitar. I've been learning on my daughter's beginner guitar ;). I purchased an Alvarez AG660CE2. It is beautiful and feels amazing to play. Big Thanks to Tony and the entire TAC Family. Merry Christmas everyone.

I love your ability to speak and explain clearly, no fumbling or hesitation, it's easy to understand, my challenge is my fingers are quite stiff and can't come around to hold a string down to make a clear sound

Over my career I have taken a great number of training courses. I find the format, teaching pace, and professional instruction is the best I have experienced. Playing guitar has always been a desire but never thought I had time. This course only takes 10 minutes per day and it’s fun. You will find yourself playing (practicing) for an hour for the enjoyment. Thanks, KG

One thing that I'm very happy about is that I have not missed one day of practice in the 3 months since I started. I'm not a complete beginner but I still wonder if I'll ever be able to switch chords in time. I do like that the music choices are not simple tunes but require some effort in learning various techniques. And I like that I know what I have to work on. Not ready to give up yet.

I recently retired, and played keyboards most of my life, but wanted to take up the guitar for some time now. I've followed Tony's videos on YouTube for several weeks, then got my first guitar 3 weeks ago and signed up for the class. I'm shocked at how quickly it has me playing! I look forward to practicing and seeing what he will throw at me next. My goal is to be able to simply enjoy myself playing guitar on the porch of our cabin, even if I do it badly. I already feel I can surpass that goal with the TAC lessons!

Was frustrated that I could not progress with my guitar playing. The issue was you need to play and practice, and I did not make the time for that. Tony's class forces you to stay with it and I have completed week 1. I am excited to keep going. I was letting mastery of the technique get in the way of moving forward. I am trusting the system and will assume I will sound better once have a played for a while.

This was perfect timing. I used to play guitar as a teenager and performing folk songs for our school show. I came back to playing off & on but it was frustrating to be playing the same songs and/or not getting through the tablature because I didn't practice everyday. I don't know how I stumbled upon Tony but I listened and he named all the things that were stopping me. I signed up and just wanted to jump in and I did but soon realized I was not in the 30 day program. That was a little confusing for me until I found I was supposed to read some stuff in that PDF but it proved to be helpful. I am now on Day 4 of the challenge although my page says like Day 7 or something. Now I practice everyday. I love picking up my guitar and feel like I'm doing something. This is way cool for my 73 yr old body, mind and spirit. Thank you, Tony

Signing up for TAC has been incredibly rewarding. I've played rhythm guitar almost exclusively for decades, primarily in groups that did folk, country and early rock - loved to strum and sing. Never had a lesson. In my dotage, I decided to take up as a hobby learning more about how to play guitar, particularly finger picking. Tony's approach suits me well. His methods and presentations are excellent. I've worked on both finger and flat picking, tried to become more adept at barre chords, etc. After the end of 2015, I'm going to go back through all the lessons I've taken, using the tabs to improve my proficiency with each song and technique. I can't keep adding five day challenges -- need to feel better about what I've started to learn!BTW, my guitar is a PRS Angelus. Sold my much loved Collings D2H because it was heavy and not well suited for finger picking.

Love the course, decided to re-start playing after 40 years (give or take a few years). I didn't start right away so I started it a few days after I signed up. Unfortunately I missed a few sessions to the time of year (holidays and all) so I'm not quite where I should be. But what I've been able to do has been great just a little frustrated that the limited time you have to go back (I think it's only 45 days) and re-do earlier sessions. Other than that I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to rekindle their playing or just starting out from scratch!

I like what you do. I’m one of your older students so I’m a littler slower than most a little more time on the fretboard finger position would help me.

After three terrific years of Tony's magic, I unfortunately have to stop my subscription. But not without offering high praise to Tony and his staff (however big or little it is, because we never get to see them).Tony incorporated sound psychological learning principles in his lesson design, which caught my attention right from the start (I have a BS in Psychology.)I took great satisfaction with each lesson, with the exception of those involving palm muting. I had replacement shoulder surgery, and that left me with an inability to position my strumming hand to perform palm muting. That frustrated me, because that technique/sound can be so enjoyable. So, thank you, Tony (et al), for these three years of enjoyment. I am planning to start piano lessons very soon, to round out my life experiences...
