I wasn't very fond of using the compositor. I was using basic nodes before but it was like a "do and forget" part of the process. This course totally changed my mind. I discovered that compositing is a fun and very flexible tool that helps you create wonders. The lessons taught during the process give a great understanding of how things work and how to use them to achieve what you desire. If you wish to know how to make your renders have this "wow!" effect this course is a must, totally recommended!

When I started this course I only had 3 months of experience in Blender. I have no previous experience in 3D or animation software at all. This was an amazing journey. As a complete beginner, I can say that the sooner you learn how to properly use nodes and utilize the compositor the better off you will be. It will change the way you do everything. You will learn how to combine VFX with real-world footage. How to take still images and combine them into amazing video sequences by layering them together and animating them! How awesome is that? Before you decide to pass this course up I want you to take a look at the work that Daniel Nees has done. Look at his portfolio and you will see the amazing work that he has done on big-title movies and TV series. I get to say that I was taught by him!!! This is not just a tutorial! It is a journey, and Daniel is always quick to offer up help and connect with you every step of the way!

Did you ever wonder how to replace the sky of an already rendered shot? Or how to turn a day scene into a night one? How to add 3D objects to camera footage with a natural-looking result? How to layer still images and movie clips and animate the result? How to add explosions, lens flares, depth of field, film grain, and shadows? How to simulate camera lens imperfections, such as vignetting and color fringing? How to color grade and completely change the mood of your video or image? Even relight scenes? Use masks and blurs? Maybe you never did but I bet you do now. And you can learn all about it in one terrific course by Daniel Nees. If you don't know that name, look him up: he's a compositor master who works on big productions (Marvel movies, Star Wars Andor). Blender's node-based compositor is a free and very capable toolbox. You'll learn to get everything out of it in this brilliant course by a brilliant teacher!

I used to avoid having to use nodes. The only nodes I would have used were lens distortion and hue saturation. The Compositing Course has shown me that I was missing out. The best way to master anything is to plow right through the obstacle and find ways to get around it. I signed up for this course because I knew almost nothing about the compositor. Learning about the multitude of nodes out there can be daunting at first, but it will have you reconsider your current and previous projects in different ways. The expertise Daniel displays throughout the chapters will help you obtain confidence in his instruction and confidence in yourself by the end of the course.
