Fletch doesn’t disappoint in this book. Truly a road map to build a business that you run instead of it running you.

This book is, in all honesty, The Blueprint to Life. I know many will be reading it for Business And Wealth growth. But that is really just the byproduct of achieving the best you, The Heroic self. It's such an emotional roller coaster. In one sentence/paragraph, I’m all jacked up and pumped at the idea. Like Truth #2, leveraging partners. Creating recurring revenue. I get knocked back down a few pegs as I jump over a couple of pages to Truth #3 (Proven Frameworks- Combat failure & Disease) where he talks about Judgement day. Oompf that hit hard for me. I’ve pushed through some tough adversity. But I’ve also coward away from things far more than I care to admit. This book guides you through a journey of self-reflection. Some things are hard to look in the mirror at. Definitely a must-read for individuals looking to forge a path forward for themselves not just in business, but also in Mind, Body, and Relationships.

The Code of the Heroic Self sheds a deepening light on your teaching. The more I read your stuff the more I believe. Writing my own script? Becoming something greater than I am right now? I used to think I hated to write. No I used to hate to think. I didn’t want to rock the boat. I didn’t want to draw attention to myself. I wanted to hide in the shadows. “The cycle of staying small”. I am now writing my script. The heroic me is gaining a stronger voice day by day. I have deep-seated issues about money. I am writing a new script about that. I held beliefs that I wasn’t worthwhile. Writing it out in the better “play” that I have for myself. The struggle is real. And worthwhile. I will continue the fight of my lessor self and thanks for change or awakening my thinking.

Loved the book, Ryan Fletcher. Quite the culmination of our point of view and the work it takes to become my best self for the benefit of myself and those around me. StoryAthlete and it's precursor programs have been of great benefit to me over the years. And this book condenses all the concepts in one volume that is easy to read, understand, and apply. For me, the introspection required by the writing has moved my life forward over Mind, Body, Business, and Relationships. It has been life-changing. Not all hearts and roses, for sure. This facilitates the hard work needed to process through all your (and other's) crap, and to come out on the other side a much better version of yourself. Always a work in progress on the 1% daily improvement journey. Keep inspiring!!

I just put down Ryan Fletcher’s latest book “The Code Of The Heroic Self” and to put it mildly: I’M FIRED THE FUCK UP!!! To say Ryan has created an easy-to-follow blueprint for a better life would be true. But it would also be a hell of an understatement. Because it’s that. But a hell of a lot more. So let’s unpack it, shall we? The basis of the book is thus: Do hard shit. Stick with it. Get the result. Having followed Ryan and been a part of GRIT for the last 18 months I know this to be true. But it goes deeper than this. Do hard shit when? Ryan breaks it down into 4 quadrants: Mind.Body.Business.Relationships.And when the 4 come together simultaneously, the results are tremendous.

The Code Of The Heroic Self fulfills several needs for anyone that is looking to be more than a nine to five job or a label like Realtor, Insurance Agent, Business Owner. The four needs that many may not realize they need filling, are those in the areas of Body, Mind, Relationships, and Business. The book describes, and yes calls you out, the key reasons why so many people in this country are depressed and lack the motivation to be more than a shell of what they are meant to be. Many books and seminars talk about being a "change-maker" but only The Code Of The Heroic Self gives you tools and opportunity to be your best self. Take action today to change your life with this community that is unlike any other. It will not be easy, nothing that is worthwhile is. Know that "those who suffer together, bond together." Thanks, Ryan Fletcher for putting this Code on paper so that all who are ready to end the cycle of fear, overwhelm, depression, and quitting can put that behind them forever!

"All In" - 2 simple words that I typed in last March that's drastically changing the course of my life. Now having just finished the book, I'm even more amazed by what Ryan Fletcher and Crew are putting together for each of us that wants to participate. Because of what I've improved over the past year is the reason that I just took a different work opportunity. I know with the principles in this book I can work to set myself up very differently than any other person in my field. Thank you, Ryan, for this roadmap.

Since becoming a StoryAthlete I've been All-In. I fight for the 1% every day. I have a routine, and daily habits. I do hard shit, and I make sure to keep my commitments. That means every day... and I mean, every...single...day -- I feel like I'm dying. I'm living in the final mile of a marathon. Leaving everything I have on the field. Never worry about the finish line. My lungs are caving in... there's sweat running into my eyes... and the reason I don't drop dead and give up is because I'm surrounded by StoryAthletes. I'm running my own race. You're running your own race. But in our hearts, we're all in this together. While reading this book a well of emotions came up. My chest is full. I'm proud of the person I'm becoming, and tears fill my eyes. I read this book and I see the path I've been on these past two years. I read this book and I see the rest of my life. I'm happy. I'm grateful. I feel alive... and I know -- this is exactly where I need and want to be.

My breakthroughs: 1. I was NOT in the 5% but wanted to be. Now I'm Becoming. 2. I Was NOT Disciplined, but wanted to be. Now Becoming. 3. I Was Afraid of "Ghosts", but am becoming a Researcher. 4. I Made Excuses and was full of ... SELF (The Lesser Self). 5. I Made self Slave to Misery. Now a Slave to a Renewed Purpose. 6. I Was Complacent, due to FODQ. Now I'm pushing Higher. 7. I AM COMMITTED! There is no Perfect time, person, or thing, but it can get figured out. 8. I CRAVE Open Source - TEAM (Together, Each Achieves More). 9. I Will Sacrifice Anything but my Beliefs (which I know you can respect). 10. I am upping my INTENSITY. 11. I choose to Suffer Together, Not alone. 12. I choose NO Cheat Days off - Consistency. 13. I believe Good Partners are like good apples. 14. I believe INTEGRITY is important in Mind, Body, Business, and Relationships. 15. The Magic of Compounding - Synergy! Biggest impact of the Book? Do Hard Stuff. Stick With It. Get the Transformative Result.

I received a copy of Ryan Fletcher’s “The Code of the Heroic Self” in the mail. While reading it I gained one of those rare moments of crystal clarity that overwhelms you with it’s truth. I discovered the keys to identifying my “Lesser Self”. The worst part of me. The poisonous asshole who says and does things he regrets. The weakling who is quick to give up on me, break promises, and tell me I’m not even good enough to try. Now that I know my enemy intimately, and am writing my own script, I can keep him shackled and powerless. Unable to crush the life from my efforts before I even truly begin. Thank you Ryan for being a light to me and others, for being the traveler who leads our way in the dark. Your book has inspired me. I know it will inspire others. Now that I’ve finished reading it, I have passed it on to my wife, and then it will go to my kids. Everyone who feels that incessant calling inside them should read this book. I'm forever grateful to have found you and this Community.

First off, thank you Ryan for sending the advanced copy. I’ve been enjoying it so far. Almost done with it and I’m loving it!! My favorite quote so far is simple...“Our greatest gift; to others, and to our self, is the path of transformation that we create.” Boom! That has proven to be true in so many areas of my life since I became a Story Athlete. Mind. Body. Business. Relationships. They’ve all improved since joining this community and making a commitment to following the hero’s journey. This book is an amalgamation of all of the simple truths Ryan has been teaching for years. Broken down into steps like: 1. Do hard shit, 2. Stick with it, 3. Get the result. People will ask, “what’s your secret?”= You will say, “Here’s how I did it - Go here...”= Get Paid To Become Your Best Self. It becomes clear. Anyone can do this! And after reading this book, I realized, in my online business—I’ve been making it too complicated.

Though I have done a lot, came through a lot, there sure is a LOT more to do. Realizing that it is still a journey, and to do it, not be concerned about how long a time it may be, to continue on 1% at a time adds up, and continues to add up when you do not give up.Really learning how to turn my life into my business, taking further actions. I will keep going. From this, I believe I will have this in place, be much farther along, and have turned my life into my business within 12 months. I will have to read this book at least 2 or 3 times to give better feedback. Thank you for writing this. With appreciation and gratitude.

I have been in the Story Athlete community for several months now, and this book was well worth the wait. I had three main takeaways from the book The Code Of The Heroic Self: First, Ryan puts a name to much of what I feel or think about…Lesser Self vs. Heroic Self, FODQ, and Living a Challenge Based Life. By creating a label for these items, I can use what is useful and remove what is not. Second, I can see a model for achieving the biggest goals in my life across mind, body, business, and relationships. If Ryan can do it, so can I. Finally, I am not alone on this journey. There is a community of like-minded people. Although we are each on our own journey and at different phases, we are stronger together. In 12-18 months, I will achieve more than the last five years. I'll be leading my own movement to help folks move toward a better relationship with themselves and a deeper sense of fulfillment. Ryan, thanks!

HOLY SHIT! It's like you were talking directly to my Lesser Self and he was plugging his ears to try and stop the message.I've never devoured another book as quickly and with as many notes in the margins as I did this one. For me, it succinctly pulled together the core of GRIT and StoryAthlete as it's built a path toward high achievement in all areas. There is a clear path to defeating the Lesser Self .. in the same way, all those years ago, there was a clear path to Defeating Mega Agents. The Character vs The Script has really opened my eyes about having previously lived a life that was written by the Lesser Self who wrote a shitty script.I expect to be empowered in the next 12-18 months because I’m taking the pen away from my Lesser Self and giving it to my Heroic Self who will write a new set of stories for my character. Stories of abundance .. stories of impact .. stories of transformational results.

I love the book. It took a few days to digest it. I've enjoyed watching how this book has evolved during the time I've been a partner with Ryan Fletcher. This book pulls from so many different parts of my life, yet he simplifies it into three easy steps. Do the hard shit, Stick with it and Get the result. Ryan brings me face to face with my limiting beliefs and provides a way to conquer them. As Ryan writes, "If your Character fails in life, it's because you wrote for your Character a shitty script."I've written a shitty script for myself during my lifetime, and it was a consistent FODQ. But my life has changed in the last few years by following these steps. My life script has many more years. And it is nowhere near done. Therefore, taking these steps to write a better script for my life's journey will benefit me in the long run and the people around me. Congratulations on the book, brother.

Loved the book! My biggest takeaway was leverage finding good partners. How to add value to their business and vise versa. I'm talking to someone about teaching a class as part of their package. As for my business I'm looking on fiverr, Upwork, etc. to find people to help me do the jobs I'm not good at and take a lot of my time. This will free up my time so I can take on more. It's changed my mindset!❤. I love the 1%. I've found reading about it and doing it are two different things. It was good to see the numbers.

While I have consumed Ryan’s content for awhile this book aligns everything in one concise package. Written in an easy to consume format it was a hard book to put down. Right off the bat this book made an immediate impact. The 5-Part Crisis was something so relatable that I almost feel like it was written about me. Giving me the realization that the root cause of the frustration and unhappiness I’ve been experiencing in my life comes from the destructive influence of my Lesser Self and how it’s a daily battle to keep him at bay. By having this newfound awareness along with the strategies outlined in this book I expect all areas of my life, Mind-Body-Business-Relationships, to drastically improve over the next 12-18 months as I focus on Work-Life Integration NOT Work-Life Balance.

As a StoryAthlete, and as a member of Income, ACS, and Grit Fuel, I already had a general idea on how everything worked together, but it was hard to explain it all to someone else. This book helped solidify the concepts and how they all play off of each other and work together. I can now see how this entire “system” will help give me more freedom in my life. I look forward to where I’ll be in a year after I continue to implement the ideas and concepts from this book.
