We travelled all around Iceland (ring road and some detours) with our Easy Small Camper and had a great time. We compared our camper with other campers and believe it is the best value for money and also the best solution to travel as a couple in iceland. Here some pro‘s that set our camper apart from other vans: The possibility to comfortably cook and eat within the van (thanks to the set up with the collapsible bench). We were able to heat the van, use the fridge and charge our phones with the built in batteries - other campers need to run the motor to do so or need to buy electricity at the camp site. Last but not least we felt at ease when driving since we were able to look through the rear mirror - other vans block the view with camping gear.

“Stevie” (that’s what we named our camper) was lots of fun. Small. Easy to drive and park in busy tourist areas. Everything we needed was there. It was cozy. It can be a pain to put up and take down the bed but we quickly developed a system and got in the routine. The included tablet was great for getting us around though the maps did occasionally lead us on old roads when newer better roads existed. The van had no trouble navigating gravel roads. Had Bluetooth for music. All the pots and pans we needed. Getting a table and chairs extras was smart as many campsites don’t have those. The lighting inside was nice. Bedding was good. It’s nice to have your kitchen with you to have meals in parking lots as you hop between spots to explore without relying on otherwise expensive takeout food.

How did the smallest camper van Iceland on our 4000 km round trip? Does it help if I say that we already miss him? You have to realize that the bed size means you have to move close together. But then you save the diesel for the heater :-) We had cold and very sunny days and in both cases the insulation was truly very helpful. Reaching into the driver's compartment in the morning showed what would have otherwise awaited us at night. The combination of kitchen and sleeping area is solved great and there is plenty of storage space. In addition, a fridge and a sink in the smallest space. A little suggestion for improvement would be an active ventilation in the small roof opening, as we have seen in other campers. And looking back, we would have preferred to leave the extra rented table and chairs at Camp Easy. For the table there was no useful place at night and by the strong wind we have both unfortunately not once used on our trip. In better weather, this would definitely have been different. The VW car itself was top class and strong enough for any route (the highlands excluded, since no 4x4). A real gamechanger was the tablet. We planned our daily routes and could drive them comfortably. The navigation is based on Here We Go instead of Google Maps, which has the advantage that the smallest speed violations are warned directly (very useful if you are used to the German Autobahn), but the maps are a bit outdated. Already on the second day in Selfoss Here We Go did not know the new roundabout. My tip: Bring a small cell phone holder and use Google Maps in parallel. (Without speed warning). This combination was perfect for us. In conclusion, we had a fantastic trip, the best customer service we ever had at a car rental and the jealous looks of other camper renters. Sounds over the top, but it really was. Thank you Camp Easy...we will be back to see the Northern Lights in the winter.

This campervan model was excellent for what we wanted to do. Having a kitchenette to be able to cook inside was crucial on those windy/rainy days, which is to say almost every day. The wide variety of storage nooks was very handy. We used every bit of it to organize our things. If the design could be tweaked I would raise the floating shelf a few inches to allow a person to more easily tuck their body underneath it. Likewise, I would narrow the kitchenette by a couple inches, to make it just wide enough to accommodate the largest pot & pan or perhaps allow those larger items to be hung somehow. The engine was rugged and reliable; crucial when circumnavigating the country on a 2250km/1350mile adventure. We met someone else who had a campervan with another company; it broke down, costing them entire day and causing them to split from the rest of their traveling party. The tablet had a very difficult time holding a charge in the north and northwest; I suspect it was because the weaker cellular signal and wifi was draining it. We learned to turn off wifi when we were not using it, like when we were asleep or when we were away from the van for a long time.I wish the bags for the blankets/linens were waterproof; they looked like they would be somewhat water resistant but weren't. We made the mistake of leaving them outside for a just a short time when it suddenly started to rain, soaking them. Perhaps a compact waterproof tarp could be provided for when bulky items need to be left outside and cannot fit under the van.

The bed's small indeed, and we're not that tall. But it worked. We really appreciated the warm blankets und the fact that we could eat inside the van on bad weather days or when camp grounds did not have a shared communal area.
