I’ve had gum grafts done on two separate occasions at the Alexandria office and have always had a wonderful experience with the staff. They are very professional and caring. Dr. H called me after each procedure to check in on me and made himself available off-hours for additional questions. When my insurance company messed up my claims or estimates, the staff at this office have worked diligently to get me accurate information as soon as possible, sometimes not leaving for holiday until they knew the issue was taken care of for me. Most importantly, my gums look great! I highly recommend.

I had to have some extensive periodontal work done a few weeks ago and Dr. Zalewsky was highly recommended. That's good of course, but it doesn't make a person any less aftaid, and I don't like any pain at all. Dr. Zalewsky was among the best dentists I have had work done by in over 40 years.
He was extremely patient explaining what he was doing the whole time and always concerned abut my comfort and pain level which was pretty much non existent (pain).
The biggest pain was when he gave me a shot to numb my mouth.
My recovery was also quick and easy. I managed to go back to work for a bit that very afternoon. And was pretty much back ok the next day.
Dr. Zalewsky and his entire staff all deserve 10 stars, not 5. All very professional, caring and talented.

When I was very young I had a root canal on a tooth that ended up cracking since I went so long without having a crown over the tooth.
Dr. Zalewsky and his team have planned the removal of that tooth and replacement with an implant. I haven't had any extractions other than my wisdom teeth which I was asleep for, so I was a bit nervous. I was surprised to experience a painless extraction and bone graft with and an extremely quick healing period. I was sore for about a day or two, and a couple Advil was all I needed.
He's assembled a top notch team what handles everything you need. They make the process very simple, and I wonder why I hesitated so long to move forward with treatment.

The pinhole surgical technique performed by Dr. Zalewsky is wonderful. I had a tissue graft years ago and although it was successful, I was extremely uncomfortable for weeks thereafter. In contrast, the pinhole procedure was performed in well under an hour and caused minimal discomfort. There was very slight bruising for a few days but no pain and the successful results were evident immediately. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
