I signed up for Tony's Acoustic Challenge before my first guitar arrived, and decided to do the Fretboard Wizard course while I waited. I'm so glad I did! I played the piano for years, but I always needed sheet music and I truly envied those who could play by ear. FW changed that. Turns out that all I needed in order to get the music I hear in my head past my fingers and onto a keyboard or fretboard was an understanding of musical structure, which is what FW provides. Now I hear music in a very different way; I see its patterns in my mind's eye and pretty much all I need to begin playing along is to identify the song's key---which Tony taught me how to do in FW. I recently finished the "30 Days to Play" course and I think I got way more out of it than I would have done without what I learned via Fretboard Wizard.

TAC is a great thing! I tried learning the guitar 40 plus years ago as a kid,...lets just say that didn't work out for me. I have always loved the acoustic guitar and knew that someday i would try learning again. Well, someday came after i retired and had more time to focus on "fun" things. I have been with TAC for a couple months now and every time i pick up the guitar i see little improvements and "wins". I appreciate Tony's teaching style, especially the way he explains things. The fretboard wizard has been a fantastic part of my journey too! Many "light bulb" moments and things i wish i had learned as a kid in my guitar first attempt. Thanks Tony & TAC, learning to play the guitar is fun!!!

I am a very amateurish 57 year old guitar player... who was stuck in a rut of playing songs using open chords only. I loved it, but hadn't progressed for years. TAC has injected new life and energy into my love of my guitar. It's been absolutely fantastic, exhilarating really. Tony is a great teacher, with emphasis on fun and quick learning. The daily lessons are fabulous. And, I'm now deep into the Fretboard Wizard add-on, which I highly recommend. Best investment ever. Thank you!

Fo over 40 years I played basic chords; no barre chords or anything over the 3rd fret. I've been a member of TAC for about six months and I look forward to a new lesson every day. The simple joy of playing my guitar has grown so much!! I just complete Tony's Fretboard Wizard course and that opened up the entire world of guitar for me! Highly Highly recommend Tony's awesome teaching style and the TAC community of players at all skill levels! Six months ago I couldn't even spell "guitar geek", now I are one! Guitar Geeks Unite! I’m doing the 30 days to play challenge but I’m in no hurry, taking my time and really enjoying the journey. TAC , the 30 days to play and the fretboard wizard courses are all fantastic.
I’ve come back to guitar after 40 years away, it’s just amazing how much information is available on the internet and a little bewildering too. I was using another site until I found TAC, I can honestly say, I wish TAC had been around when I was fourteen, I might have been a rockstar, lol
The fretboard Wizard course has been an amazing eye opener for me, the way Tony takes you step by step through what seems to be a minefield at first is just great. I love knowing the musical alphabet and the patterns to finding the same notes up and down the fretboard.
I’m learning the boom-chicka strumming in the 30 days to play at the moment and it’s really nice to be playing something that actually sounds like music, lol who would have thought it.
As for the TAC it’s self, I have to be honest and say I’ve completed a couple of the daily lessons but I’ve mostly been busy with the courses. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually once I get these two under my belt.
Anyway, if you want an easy to follow great way to learn, you’re come to the right place.
