Johanne is an amazing healer. I’ve gone for sleep issues, shoulder pain, anxiety, you name it, and Johanne’s practices always help me feel better. The space she has created at Harlem Chi is calming and inviting.

I had chronic vertigo. For months and months.
I saw many doctors and nothing helped. Two friends of mine recommended Harlem Chi Community Acupuncture. They both had the problem is completely resolved. Sciatica, Headaches. Initially I booked three sessions per week. My vertigo symptoms have resolved in 7 sessions. I am thrilled and super relieved. The practitioners Joanne, and Dianna are fantastic.

Johanne is a caring, professional, and effective practitioner. I have visited Harlem Chi off and on for several years for both joint pain and during fertility treatments. I cannot recommend Harlem Chi enough. I appreciate that Johanne is straightforward and always makes me feel comfortable. A side benefit of treatment has been stress relief, I always leave a little lighter than when I came in! The treatment room is not private, but it is spacious and calming.

I was dealing with painful Plantar Fasciitis for 8 months. I came to Harlem Chi and met with Johanne, realized that I knew her previously from training at a local gym, this was my first time experiencing accupuncture so, I felt immediately at peace. Long story short. After one session with her, all of the pain was gone the following week and has not returned. I've told quite a few of my friends about Harlem Chi, they have visited HC and they all loved their experiences there. Harlem Chi is a true blessing to us all.

I had been wanting to try acupuncture for years and had not gotten around to it so I was pleased to know I could have my first experience right in the heart of Harlem. Johanna is a professional and caring practitioner and I felt at ease with her immediately. The insomnia I had been experiencing is gradually going away and I have also noticed improvements in other areas I needed addressed. I intend on continuing on with acupuncture even after my issues are resolved. I highly recommend HCCA!

Harlem Chi's service, location and owner, Joanne are OUTSTANDING. More than that, the level of knowledge and skill of the acupuncture itself is TOP NOTCH. Don't let the word "community" fool you in to believing this is an average offering. This is THE BEST acupuncture you can get in NYC at any price. It is a bonus that the price is affordable. It is a comfortable and peaceful place to get well internally as you rest and relax.

I had been looking for a black-owned acupuncture business in NYC for a while. I was so happy to find Harlem Chi! I have seen such great results with acupuncture here. The facility is clean and Joann is very sweet and listens to every concern that you may have. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
