Highly skilled professionals. Very clean facility. I was came in for treatment for 3 broken ribs. They were courteous and addressed all my concerns. This was my first accupuncture experience and it was very successful. This helped with the pain and facilitated a faster healing process. Excellent for the neighborhood.

I was so happy to find a local/affordable acupuncture place but never expected to be so pleased. The other surprise was how Johanne approaches her practice. For me there is a before Johanne acupuncture experience and an after. Never experienced anything like it. I showed up several months ago with a broken body, most of it due to stress and anxiety. I had odd pains in different places including the usual knee, joint pains, stiff neck and tight lower back. Within two months I feel almost 100%.

I've only had one experience with Acupuncture when I traveled to Bali. And I found it very beneficial. I'm glad my research led me to Harlem Chi Community Acupuncture. Despite checking out the website, the overall actual experience was better than I expected. The 'shared' space was clean, calm and refreshing. For only having one session, the acupuncture treatment was top notch. I plan on making this a bi-weekly or monthly activity when needed. I felt better physically and mentally afterwards

No matter what is going on, from ragweed reacting itchy eyes, to a pain someplace or other, or just generally feeling low energy, Johanne always improves the situation. So grateful for her consistency, competence and caring. The office is run beautifully, too. You can make an appointment online, or walk-in and wait a bit, she gives you the space and time to really absorb the treatment and relax. Very grateful for her support in my life.

I thought I knew what acupuncture was but realized what it actually could be once I showed up at Harlem Chi. Johanne is simply a great soul who knows what she is doing. My body was a bundle of nerves that she began unraveling one by one with each session. I must say it took a little longer than expected because I skipped a few regular sessions. It is important to follow her recommendations and heal fully before maintenance schedule. I am still an impressed client that can't wait to go back.

I am a longtime runner and have been experiencing neuropathy in the soles of my feet for several months. Two friends mentioned that acupuncture can be effective for that condition. After six treatments, the feeling in my feet has greatly improved. Johanne is highly skilled, attentive, and compassionate. Her treatments are reasonably priced, and her workspace is comfortable and clean with a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. I will be continuing treatments to maintain improvement.

I am so grateful to have found this community oasis in the middle of Harlem. My husband and I went this weekend. He's been suffering with sciatica for the past few months, to the point that he's been depressed and confined to the house. After just one treatment he feels only pressure and no more pain.
