Woke up with red, itchy & swollen eyes. I don't have "allergies" but this was awful, hot, sore and painful. I've had wonderful results seeing Johanne for joint aches and pains, but feeling desperate, as taking Benadryl did nothing but give me a hangover. I stumbled into the office. I was greeted with Johanne's warm and kindly competence, and received a treatment that gave me instant relief. I won't say that it is 100% better, but probably 75% and I felt like I could be in life again. Gratitude!

I am a firm believer in acupuncture as a solution for my health problems. That being said with the price of medical insurance skyrocketing I have not been able to afford the extra cost of alternative medicine. Harlem Chi Community Acupucture is an incredible solution. Not only is it very reasonably priced but Johanne is an extremely attentive, caring and knowledgeable practitioner. I never feel rushed or ignored. The office is a peaceful oasis on125th st.

Due to an injury several months ago, I have lost mobility and strength in one hand. A friend recommended acupuncture. Johanne's thorough and thoughtful care left me feeling the difference. And though it was not the presenting issue, she also attended to my hot flashes which are much less intense. Amazing!

My first visit was kind of a surprise because the results I got were more mental Than Physical meaning that the depression I was feeling due to pain and other problems was totally relieved by the acupuncture. Look forward to Future treatments knowing that I will get full release for my physical pain as well

I returned to NYC from a long trip abroad which left me dealing with some health issues. Initially, I went to the doctor and was prescribed antibiotics. The problem was corrected for a couple of days but continued to return. Unwilling to continue taking antibiotics, I decided to try acupuncture. I feel fortunate to have found Johanne- she has provided me with an alternative way of treating/healing my health problems. Although the issue has been treated, I go weekly as a form of prevention.

Johanne is highly-skilled, intuitive and nurturing and kind! The service she provides our community is second to none. With her Community Acupuncture is still tailored to each patient's specific needs. No matter how many other patients she's treating at a given time, I have never felt like just a number. The Community model helps to keep it affordable for me and the location is perfect as well. Options for appointments are very helpful too. Only wish that I had learned about Harlem Chi sooner!

I've been in good health all my life, but I'm 70 now, starting to develop minor aches and pains that can slow me down a bit. But they hardly ever slow me down for very long, because Johanne at Harlem Chi has the amazing (to me at least) ability to fix them by needling me. I wish I had known how much benefit I could get from Chinese Medicine a long time ago.

Johanne's treatments never fail to help me feel better. Yesterday I went for flu-like symptoms, and at the end of the session felt so much better. Today I am even more recovered. Just go! You need this!

For years I have suffered with pain that affected my entire body.After trying mostly everything I wasn't sure that getting stuck would help.Much to my surprise it has begun to show some encouraging results.It's a process that for me it will take time but Joanne said with acupuncture the goal is to chase the pain right out of my body.
