I picked the day of the derailment as my first visit. Chaos outside healing inside. I filled out the history of my ailment and then J worked with me as a consultant on where the pain was. She then manipulated her needles and after an hour of sweet repose I felt better.

I had my first treatment in years with Joanne and was thoroughly impressed with her style, office space and delicate touch. I was a bit anxious as I hadn't gotten acupuncture in over 10 yrs but I was pleasantly surprised. Clean and beautiful office, relaxing music and comfortable seating and tables to longue on while getting treated. Joanne was very nice, listened to my issues and reasons for treatment, asked a lot of question and was extremely knowledgeable. Will be returning soon!

Johanne was a very knowledgable practitioner. She listened to my concerns and her treatment was appropriate for my needs. I have been with other highly ranked acupuncturists, and she's right up there with the best, if not better. I had a strange experience with the venue because there was construction going on during the time I visited, so I wasn't in my "calmest" mind space, but that had nothing to do with the service -- When in need of another treatment, I would return to Harlem Chi.

I have been a long-term client at Harlem Chi, and went earlier this week for a treatment for lower back pain. Johanne knew exactly what to do and at the end of the session, my back felt much much better, and the relief has lasted. It's part of my regular self-care and pain management.

Excellent first experience with acupuncture. Johanne has a wonderful, healing presence. The atmosphere is very calming. The treatment gave me a zingy-floaty feeling that was not unpleasant. I'll be scheduling regular visits.

Dr. Johanne is amazing!! She is understanding, compassionate and intuitive. She made sure I understand any information she shared as well as our long term goals for my healing. I felt very eased into having needles placed in my legs, wrists, ears and forehead. I could barely feel them and the whole experience felt like a good meditation session with tiny needles. Let me be more intune with body and use of breath. Left the session feeling lighter and optimistic.
