We are lucky to have Harlem Chi in the community. It is a singular place that one rarely finds in the city. From the moment you enter, you feel the relaxing and healing energy. I worked with Johanne in the last month of my pregnancy to prepare for birth. I was going to be induced, and I really wanted a natural birth. The sessions definitely helped me and the baby, and I had an amazing birthing experience, the one I wanted. I totally recommend Harlem Chi!

I have been visiting Johanne for acupuncture regarding a back condition and I have witnessed general re-centering, pain relief, and circulation improvement. With multiple visits I really feel the healing energy and I plan to continue. Johanne is attentive and sensitive to individual needs as well as very knowledgeable in her field. Every time I go for a treatment at Harlem Chi I leave feeling better! Johanne knows how to diagnose and treat like no other practitioner. I came in with lower back pain and allergies, and left with a new spring in my step, able to face this cold mid-March with less pain and free breathing.

Lovely space that is conveniently located. Johanne has worked wonders controlling my allergies. I work in healthcare and even I was not aware of the many applications for acupuncture outside of pain control until I went to Harlem Chi. I'm pleased--I'm about results.

I was on my way to LGA for a flight, with some time to kill -- when what did I see but a street sign for acupuncture. "I could go for some acupuncture," I thought, and so I did, then and there. And, I didn't regret it, for my experience was superb. Not only was I taken on-the-spot, literally from off the street, but my therapist was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable (and she obliged my request for some specific points). Afterward, I came away with a good treatment in a therapeutically clean and relaxing environment, and all for a reasonable price. Now, I have a new pre-flight ritual, I think.
A big thank-you to everyone at this clinic. Keep up the good work :)

Johane has taken the design of her practice and the space very seriously and it shows. I had been searching for acupuncture to round out my care after a recent injury and I was delighted to find such a great practitioner and the space is absolutely gorgeous and soothing. I am also delighted to support another women of color owned business.

As someone who does not always advocate for myself well in medical settings, I feel encouraged and supported by Johanne to share how I'm feeling in my body, my emotional state, etc so I can get the appropriate care. I’ve always found acupuncture helpful in managing my chronic health nonsense, but Johanne is completely exceptional. In my experience doctors and healthcare practitioners have a hard time not giving up on or blaming patients with chronic illness when standard therapies don’t work as planned. Johanne, on the other hand, is full of intelligent curiosity; she treats my hair trigger migraines like an opportunity for research. She keeps finding new ways to help me. I’m so lucky.

I'm in good health, but I'm getting on in years, with the result that I must deal with minor aches and pains on a daily basis. I've been Johanne's patient for more than two years, and I can say without the slightest reservation that her regular treatments (which include excellent diet-and-exercise advice in addition to acupuncture) go a very long way to help me feel much more limber, strong and pain-free than I would have ever hoped.

Harlem Chi was heartily recommended by a friend, and I owe her one! This is a lovely space with multiple tables and recliner chairs, so you can choose whatever you prefer. The treatments have been wonderful, and I always leave rejuvenated. I expect to be paying many visits to drive off various aches and pains, as well as the winter blues!
