Were not helping. Acupuncture treatments have eased the pain to the extent that I can walk, exercise, dance,etc.
Plus I didn't have to travel downtown from my Morningside Heights neighborhood.
Ms.Joanne is a professional and the service and comfort provided by Harlem Chi has really improved my quality of life.

I love the ease of making an appointment, the Saturday hours, the clean and pleasant atmosphere and the professionalism. I came in for post nasal drip and have not had to take any medication for 2 days now-- I was taking several pills a day, and flushing with at neti pot, for weeks. I love that Harlem Chi isn't just about being "alternative" but about getting results.

I don't like needles. So I never tried acupuncture. I suffer from chronic neck pain and my roommate insisted that go to Harlem Chi Community Acupuncture -- it helped her greatly with her migraines. I had my first session this Saturday. The place is very zen. The session helped. My neck feels better and it also lessen stiffness and pain in my left leg. I barely felt the needles. For someone who always had a fear of needles that was priceless. I look forward to my next session.

Joanne is the only acupuncturist I've been to that I would take over a deep tissue massage! She understands your body's condition and physical ailments, and asks questions to understand what other emotional stressors or aggravators you may have going on in your life are contributing to tension in your body. As a workout fanatic and business person who travels a lot, Joanne's sessions help me maintain my sanity. Migraines and all! She touches my body without directly treating the area & cures me

It's wonderful to have Harlem Chi in our community. Johanna is a gifted acupuncturist. I have been using acupuncture since the late '90s and Johanna ranks in my top three practitioners. The space is relaxing, the service is affordable, and I don't have travel the length of Manhattan for top quality health care.

I've never done acupuncture before so I was a little nervous but as soon as I got there I was immediately but at ease. The actual acupuncture was painless and I began to feel relief from my joint pain after just one session. I am definitely going back.

Couldn't make it to the chiropractor with the intense lower back pain. Significant relief after the first-initial visit. Returned two days later to address the lingering soreness. Total relief. Will be dropping the chiropractor permanently. Who knew?!

Harlem Chi is very inviting, soothing and relaxing...perfect for a little time out from our hectic lifestyles. Johanne has a great, compassionate and warm energy, and you can tell she truly wants to help and heal (or re-balance) her patients.
