It's wonderful to have Harlem Chi in our community. Johanna is a gifted acupuncturist. I have been using acupuncture since the late '90s and Johanna ranks in my top three practitioners. The space is relaxing, the service is affordable, and I don't have travel the length of Manhattan for top quality health care.

I've never done acupuncture before so I was a little nervous but as soon as I got there I was immediately but at ease. The actual acupuncture was painless and I began to feel relief from my joint pain after just one session. I am definitely going back.

Couldn't make it to the chiropractor with the intense lower back pain. Significant relief after the first-initial visit. Returned two days later to address the lingering soreness. Total relief. Will be dropping the chiropractor permanently. Who knew?!

When I started going to Harlem Chi nearly a year ago, I had pain in one foot, the other knee and my shoulder. Now I feel little or no pain in those places, and I'm feeling much more limber. I have always loved to walk, but my bad foot and bad knee were taking a lot of the pleasure out of it for me. Last month I took many day-hikes, and in all the miles I tramped, my bad knee gave me no discomfort at all and my bad foot ached only a little. Harlem Chi gets a lot of credit for my improvement.

In one session I feel soooo much better. I came in with sever hand pain that would wake me up in the middle of the night in tears. This morning I woke up singing church music.This place is creating miracles. Wonderful place, extremely peaceful.

I am relatively new to acupuncture and have been going to see Johanne for several weeks now. I have found the experience moving and interesting, helping with my low back pain and general stress/anxiety as well. The office is great - welcoming and spacious - and Johanne is an excellent practitioner. She listens to your concerns before every treatment and treats you as if you're the only patient in the room. It's a great experience.
