I had my first experience with acupuncture to treat sciatica yesterday and it was great. Dr. Picard was very warm, friendly and knowledge about the practice. Her forms and consultation were thorough and informative. The insertion of needles was barely detectable and the space was very calm. I was able to fully relax and allow the energy to flow and soothe my pain. I left in far less pain than I came in with and I'm looking forward to continuing treatment to promote my full healing!

The space of Harlem Chi is inviting, therapeutic and tranquil. The whole intake process is thorough and complete. I've gone to a few community acupuncture places throughout the city and this one is on par with others. The only constructive feedback is for a check-in during treatment. In fact, I've gone enough times that I know it's important for me to be finished after about 20-30 minutes. I plan to return many times!!

Last week was my first acupuncture appointment ever. My choice was made on reviews about this place on line and from patients and it did actually match my expectations. Professional, clean, over all a great experience. I would recommend this place and will go back myself.

I find the hour and a half sessions to be a little long, but the space is comfortable and serene and I feel very taken care of when I'm there. The price is right! I could not afford acupuncture on the regular, recommended basis if not for here.

I enjoyed my first session with Johanne. The space is really lovely, and was a bit of a surprise for me to see 4 tables and 4 reclining chairs, all in the same room. Session lasted about 75 minutes. She is very reasonable, both in her fees, and in her recommendations for the frequency of going to see her for general health support. Nice for someone newer to acupuncture.

I came to Harlem Chi not sure what to expect. Personal life experiences are causing a lot of stress and I came seeking some relief. I found The practioner to be patient, (the consultation about my health and current symptoms was more exhaustive than I've ever received from the medical profession) and thorough. I've only had one session so far but plan to continue with weekly sessions. One session does not determine if the treatment works but I found the experience overall was meditative.

Acupuncture is applied in a mass room with many patients. The needles are only applied to your extremities—none to your body. There is no massage after the procedure. Another uncomfortable thing is to fill out many pages of questions. I was very dissatisfied.
