I wanted to wait until approximately 1 year after installation to post my review. Any fence install will look great weeks after installation. I believe the true reviews come well after the install. August of 2024 is when my install was completed. After getting several quotes I picked Bradford Fencing because of the competitive bid that I received and after being told the treated pine wood Bradford fencing uses is a superior grade above other pine wood used by other fencing companies. My project included over 300 feet of 6ft. treated pine privacy fencing, approximately 40 feet of 8ft pine fencing and 2 double gates.
The install went as planned and just like a lot of these early Google reviews, my fence looked pretty awesome. My 1st issue involved the width of the double-gates. My Toyota Tundra and bass boat would barely fit through the main gate without the risk of knocking off a side mirror. I've been hauling trailers for over 30 years and I had to be extremely careful entering or exiting the gate. Especially in the darkness of a 4am fishing or duck hunting trip. After a couple of calls to Bradford Fencing, they did finally show up. The best fix seemed to be to switch my gate doors to the opposite side of the fence. This change would allow another 5-6 inches of clearance, which made things a little easier for me. Although one side of that gate will only open half way, I've managed to keep my vehicle side mirrors in tact so far. My advise here would be to make sure your new gate will allow for the usage that you need. These double-gates built by Bradford fencing are not the normal width gates that I expected.
Now fast-forward 10 months after install, to June 3rd, 2025. While mowing I notice one warped 4 x 4 fence post. I reached out to Bradford Fencing to let them know of the issue and I also sent them a picture of the warped post. Out of over 300ft. of privacy fence, this 1 warped fence post is the only issue I'm having, so far. Bradford responds and tells me a rep will be out in a week, June 12th, to look at the issue. After taking off from work, on the day of the appointment, I get a text from Bradford fencing telling me the Bradford fencing rep cannot make it that day. I was also informed that warped posts "are not" covered in their warranty. This warranty issue sounded absolutely nuts to me, especially only 10 months after the install. Bradford also stated they would replace the post anyway and would let me know when they could get me on the schedule.
Now fast-forward over 45 days, to July 24th, 2025. After never hearing from Bradford fencing, I reached out to them again. This time I was told the heated temps outside were the issue for my delay, (Which I understood) and they would get to me soon.
Now fast-forward to today, August 13th, 2025. I've still not heard anything from anyone at Bradford fencing in regards to my first "single" warped fence post. As the pictures I've attached here show, I now have a total of 4 warped 4 x 4 fence posts. The first warped post that I complained about months ago, has now pulled (warped) 3 additional posts next to it.
I'm currently still waiting to be contacted for my repair date to be scheduled. My simple issue that started out as one single warped fence post, that "should've & could've" been replaced months ago, has now turned into four warped fence posts and counting. I'd bet the other three fence posts would have been fine if the first fence post had been replaced from the start. I will update this post as time marches on. I'd have to say the moral of the story here, is that the "cheapest price is not always the best" and in most cases you do "get what you pay for."
Still waiting patiently, John
