I was visiting the Gold Coast for a cycling camp last weekend. Usually based in Sydney, I have been struggling to find a new bike in my size. When my 2018 Emonda SL5 ended up getting a snapped shifter cable on the Saturday ride I popped across to see the team at Trek Burleigh Heads. The service I received from Cassie and Stu was well above and beyond what I had anticipated. With my new shifter cable in hand, I was exiting the store when I spotted the Emonda SL7 that just happened to be in my size! After making my purchase Stu kindly transferred across all my equipment across to the new bike whilst also offering to drop my old bike back at my accommodation once he finished work. Once again the team went well over any expectations by boxing up my old bike to ensure it was safe to fly back to Sydney with. I am one very happy customer and can not recommend these guys highly enough.

Adrian at Trek Burleigh is probably the best bike mechanic and sales rep I've dealt with. He helped me throughout my entire purchase process and thoroughly answered all 100 of my questions.. I still frequently speak with him after my rides, asking all sorts of questions about the bike. I couldn't be happier with Trek's service and industry knowledge!

I bought an Electra townie go on market place with no charger and called these guys up for a charger and the guy on the phone was friendly and said come down and we can test it on our charger before ordering the charger to check battery condition etc. when I arrived I asked the foreign guy with an accent working in the shop and mentioned the phone call and found out his customer service and police skills were worse than his knowledge of fixing e-bikes made by the brand he works for when he refused to help me and suggested that I had stolen the bike and wouldn’t serve me without showing him proof where I bought it. So I played his detective game and showed the marketplace conversation showing where I had purchase it and he continued his rude spiteful attitude while plugging it into a charger for 3 seconds and saying that it’s broken and needs a new battery and refused to order me a charger. I then asked him about the the bms in it which may need to be reset and he didn’t even know what that was and I had to teach him his own job and inform him that it’s a battery management system which all lithium batteries have to shut them down to sleep mode when the voltage is too low which can be triggered to wake up with jump start or possibly leaving on charge for more than 3 seconds. I feel like I should be paid for the training and do another session with him and teach him some valuable customer service skills next time too. Still 4 stars because the guy on the phone was friendly and helpful and I’ll try speak with his manager and get him trained up because I really like the bike and not going to let his misery let their whole brand down for me just yet. I still have hope

I purchased an Emonda SLR7 in June 2024.I took it to Trek Burleigh for s service on Tuesday 7th January 2025. I was quoted a Level 1 service and I thought I would also have a new chain and bar tape. When I picked up the bike the bill was $514.96, when the verbal estimate was $400. They had also installed spotted black bar tape! When I picked up the bike I went straight to the mechanic who was too busy to talk to me, which made me suspicious. The sales person went through the bill it was plus plus plus, and the service was a level 2. I questioned the bill and the sales person said he would email me the bill, which he did not. I could not find an email address on the web site for the shop, so apart from going back to the shop to discuss it with a "Too busy" mechanic, I have no option but to make these comments. Question 2, if a bike is only 6 months old, does it need such a detailed service, it is stored on a bike stand and cleaned and oiled regularly. Perhaps the manager from the Burleigh shop will get back to me but I doubt it going from this experience.(Work Order No 6329).
