I had some hail damage to my house that was causing leaks. I filed a claim and they covered the roof but weren't budging on the siding. Having never filed a claim before or gotten house work done of this magnitude, I was quite overwhelmed by the scale and potential costs. Where other contractors couldn't see pass some of the, Silas understood the code involving the materials of my siding and was able to work with my insurance to help get the siding covered as well. Once everything was set up by insurance, they were able to get the roof and siding in a timely manner. Silas is a careful communicator and makes sure things are done to his client's expectations. He's a good dude, and if I need work in the future, or know someone else who needs some work, I'll turn to his company's name! I've included After and Before pictures. Needless to say, the blue siding with black roof, is the after. The gray and brown is the before. They brought everything up to code with this project, and I'm one satisfied client. I don't often leave reviews, but I need to for Si ... he is the best., We had hail damage from storm ... it impacted the roof, gutters and windows. Si's experience and professionalism showed as he worked and navigated through the discussions with our insurance carrier, ensuring that we were able to get the coverage we needed. That was just the start ... the complexity of the project (windows, stucco, roof, gutters, etc) was very high, and Si was able to keep things coordinated and m0oving through the entire process. His communication skills were incredible and the final product was amazing. We can't thank Si enough for what he did to help us through the process ... and even this review doesn't begin to articulate how impressed we were by his knowledge, professionalism, experience and great personality. From start to finish, working with Silas was a great experience. He was very thorough from the initial inspection, working with the insurance adjuster, providing the options for new shingles, and the installation. There were many instances in our situation that required additional care and labor, but it was never a problem working with Van Horn. Couldn't recommend more.

I highly recommend Van Horn Construction for all your exterior construction needs. Silas, at Van Horn Construction took care of all the issues related to the hail damage insurance claim. Silas explained things clearly, got the work done timely, professionally, and got me the most money for my claim. The insurance company was trying to lowball the replacement work scope and costs and Silas negotiated with them and I got the higher payout!! My house looks great and I couldn’t be happier with Van Horn Construction.
