Top notch! The best customer experience I have had in the better part of a decade. Van Horn construction made getting a new roof a fun experience. The owner Sy Van Horn and his staff answered all my questions and helped me to deal with the insurance company. I couldn't have had a easier time and he genuinely care about the customer getting what they paid for....

I hired Van Horn Construction to replace the roof of my house which was damaged by hail. I was very happy with the service I received. The owner Sy Van Horn and his staff answered all my questions and helped me to deal with the insurance company. Although the roof area was relatively large and included a skylight, the work was completed in one day as was promised. They brought a large crew, started early in the morning, and completed the work by sundown. The crew were professional, efficient, and did a great cleaning job. The roof looks great. I have a large concrete driveway and I was worried that the dumpster could scratch the concrete surface. They covered the entire driveway with tarp and placed large pieces of plywood over the tarp. That showed me how much they care about their customers. I strongly recommend Van Horn Construction for any roof project you may have.

My wife and I hired Van Horn Construction in the summer of 2020 to install James Hardie Fiber Cement “Iron Gray” siding on our home to replace the vinyl siding that was originally installed on our home when it was built back in 1991. The summer of COVID-19 definitely presented some overall challenges for this project but in the end we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We were very impressed from the start with how Sy was able to successfully obtain money from our insurance company USAA to considerably help fund our project when a different company who installed a new roof on our home in the fall of 2019 was unable to do so. We initially worked with a very nice salesperson for Van Horn named Kelly to get things rolling on the project. Sy then stepped in when it came time to finalize the work needed to be done and he, along with his coworkers Amanda and Les, displayed a genuine dedication to doing whatever it would take to get the job done to our highest satisfaction even when delays in the project occurred due to some of the construction materials having much longer lead times than we ever expected. Nonetheless, the entire Van Horn team persevered and never wavered in their overall commitment to wanting to remain our contractor of choice. In addition, we had a lot of custom features, such as window crossheads and front door pilasters, that we wanted to be included with the siding renovation to further enhance the look of our home and the entire Van Horn team, including the team of contract workers who actually installed our new siding, did a terrific overall job of implementing every one of the custom features we requested. I personally am very detail oriented and picky about the quality of work received when I contract a job of this scope to be done and was extremely impressed by the workmanship provided by Sy and his entire team. They are all really nice people to work with who listen well and demonstrate a true commitment to meeting all of a customer’s needs. Overall, the finished project exceeded our expectations and the curb appeal of home has increased significantly. My wife and I would highly recommend the Van Horn team for all roofing/siding projects because they really know what they are doing (from both the insurance and construction sides of a project) and work hard to ensure their customers are very happy in the end.

I can honestly say that I have never been treated so well by a company before. Everything was so easy and stress free on our side. Van Horn Construction took care of everything. Our insurance company was not helpful at all and VHC made sure that our insurance helped us with everything and didn’t try to skip over anything in the inspection. Even when the work started, there was no annoying up selling or anything like that. They were super honest about what we needed and what we didn’t need and where we could save money without compromising quality. Everything was straight forward and I felt confident in moving forward. They were done so quickly and they cleaned up, I seriously couldn’t even tell that they had been there, other than the new roof! It looks great it’s like a new house. Forever a company we will use and recommend.
