I am a neighbor of Silas and have known him since I moved here 2 years ago. He did an excellent job on my project and always stepped up to represent me to the insurance company. He got a very difficult project done in one day and we are grateful for his work and the work of his crew. He made the project very seamless for us and hung in there with the insurance company until all work was taken care of.. He will do a great job for you on your roof and ,because of his past work as an insurance adjuster, he understands the process to get your a fair and honest settlement.

I seriously can not say enough good things about this company. Silas the owner came out and met us personally, sat down with us and gave us all the options. We did not feel the pressure of "got to get a sale" He truly was very respectful. My insurance had given us the run around and Silas went the extra mile and advocated for us which allowed us to get our roof done before missing the insurance deadline. He also had the type of shingle we wanted, where some roofing companies did not have it when we asked. His employee's were very professional, friendly and efficient. It only took ONE day to complete! Silas was also on the job site with his employees. Their work was great, and they even made sure to leave our property in good shape when they were done with the project. Silas clearly takes pride in what he does. He is very passionate about his company and that his customers have a good experience. If I could recommend him to everyone I would hands down. I was introduced to Sy by a neighbor two summers ago when he was redoing their roof.  He was a friend of theirs that they trusted, so I had him look at my roof to see what kind of shape it was in.  He gave me honest feedback to not replace at that time.  After the storms this past summer, Sy was the first person I called.  He worked with my insurance company as we stepped through that process.  He was always there on time and ready to work on my behalf.  He was very respectful to the adjuster while helping identify damages that may have been passed by (see pics).  Once we had approval for a new roof, he worked me right into the schedule (It was a BUSY time).  The crew he has was as good as him!  They got right to work and were efficient, respectful, clean and did an AMAZING job!  Now that the job is done, Sy continues to work on my behalf with the insurance claim.  With all that said, I would HIGHLY recommend Van Horn with any of your construction needs.  Skip the door knockers and go with somebody LOCAL that you can TRUST!
