This is my first memoir and my first time self-publishing. Getcovers Design was popping up everywhere as I researched the process of getting a book ready to publish. Title this: "THEY WORK HARD FOR THE MONEY." I completed my first (and perhaps my only book) when my editor suggested Getcovers. My wife is a retired art director and I'm painting and futzing around with graphic programs in my retirement from IT. So, you can imagine that we are very detail oriented. We came to Getcovers with the pieces of a design and a prototype of where we wanted to go, but given their extraordinary pricing, we also asked them to come up with a design of their own. They came through on both counts. They responded to all of our requests to make various modifications throughout the process. (E.G. - I gave them a couple to include in our prototype, which I explained was a low resolution version as we were out of town and I didn't have access to all the files. When I asked them to recomposite the 2 people with the high rez versions and help me with the problem I was having eliminating the thin white halo fringe around the man before putting them together and into the cover design they did so expertly and w/o complaint.) They melded our components into an expertly crafted version of our prototype. We'll be using the designs in our sales efforts and we're so happy with the process I'll be giving them a nod on the copyright page. They have a very talented staff, provide excellent service to their clients. You'll be very happy with both the results and the experience when you employ Getcovers.
