Last week I purchased a 1965 Mustang and had it shipped to my city. I was incredibly nervous about buying a car without seeing it in person first, but I decided to do so because: A) the business had a significant record online and showed a history of community involvement, B) Ryan, the sales consultant, explained in detail how the process works and of course offered the option to pick it up or inspect it in person, and C) the listing showed extensive videos and pictures that highlighted any wear or damage. It's clearly a professional operation with multiple employees who each have expertise in various points of the process. For instance, Kara helped me setup transportation and negotiate pricing, Jon setup all the sales documents and coached me through how to sign and wire payment, and Carly, the title clerk, reached out to confirm title details and shipment.
When I received the car, it was even better than expected. The photos and video had shown every detail, and I expected to have to do some work (like replace the carpet), but in person, it was in great condition. They clearly didn't try to hide any problems, in fact, quite the opposite. Ryan was helpful with all of my questions, and is clearly an honest guy who's passionate about getting people their dream cars. Made the process a smooth and fun one.
It's also worth noting that I bought the car on a Friday, worked with Kara that day to find a shipper, and had it in my driveway in Salt Lake City the following Monday morning. She was so helpful, and it got here so much sooner than I had expected.
It always feels like a guessing game when trying to feel out online sellers, but I hope this helps explain why I trust and would buy here again - honest people who were super helpful and I'm thrilled. Thank you to all who were involved!
