Maryland’s DJ was INCREDIBLE. Before our event, there was really good communication from everyone on the team, including the automated reminder emails, personal emails, and our original intake. We really liked that we had so many options of DJs to choose from, too. We also really liked the portal and how we could sort through/choose songs in there. Neil, who actually worked our event, was the absolute best. He met with us several times to make sure things were just right. He matched our vibe and kept people on the dance floor throughout the night. The transitions between songs were awesome. He was a guiding presence to the guests and kept the spotlight on us. People said music was one of the best parts of our wedding. Can’t recommend Maryland’s DJ enough!

Maryland DJ was our wedding DJ and it was the best! Steve Hartka was friendly, professional, and had great communication throughout the whole planning process. The online platform was so easy to use and add our favorite songs along with our do not plays. At the reception, Steve kept the party going all night long. He read the room and knew just what to play to get everyone out on the dance floor! I would highly recommend anyone planning a wedding to hire a DJ from here!

We absolutely LOVED having DJ Steve as an incredible part of our wedding reception! We had a few meetings with Steve prior to wedding day and he was able to capture what we wanted the night to feel like perfectly! He listened to all of our requests and the dance floor was so much fun - energy felt high the whole night!! We had the absolute pleasure of having DJ Neil at our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Neil was eager to understand our vibe for the day. He read the room effortlessly and kept the energy high and the transitions smooth. Neil even got my husband on the dance floor and he hates dancing! The music truly made the night unforgettable, and we’re so grateful to Neil for bringing that energy and excitement.

When my spouse and I were looking into wedding DJs, we were not sure what to expect. We were investing money into what we hoped would be a good time. The moment we met the folks at Maryland's DJ, we knew we had found the right place. They were friendly, attentive, and professional, matching us with the perfect DJ based on our preferences. As my spouse and I love early 2000s pop punk, we got matched with Steve Hartka.
Friends, Steve is the MAN. His enthusiasm for his job is infectious, and he took such care to get to know us as a couple. He was able to balance our preferences with curating the perfect party that felt like ours. He did not miss a beat, no lull, not even one. He started with party favorites to get everyone dancing, moving to dance hits to keep everyone dancing, ending with well-chosen rock. The songs blended well and felt like the work of a true professional.
Steve did such an amazing job that we had people complimenting us all night. By the end, nearly our entire wedding was praising Steve by name. Our evening was absolutely amazing, a large part due to Steve.

We had a wonderful experience working with Maryland's DJ! The team was easy to work with, very responsive, and helpful with any questions or concerns we had. DJ Neil was fantastic!! Our dance floor was packed from the moment it opened until the very last song of the night. It was exactly what we had hoped for. We would definitely recommend Neil and the entire Maryland’s DJ team!

We loved Neil, Josh, and the lighting. Everything was perfect. They were all super professional and got there early. Neil was outstanding. We appreciate all of the prep work he did- everything was flawless. From the processional music to the dance floor music, Neil made the party and wedding exceptional. I would refer him to everyone! The saxophone player really brought the party.

We cannot say enough great things about DJ Steve! From the moment we connected, he was incredibly friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He truly listened to our vision for the wedding and brought it to life with his amazing DJ skills. Steve perfectly set the tone for every part of the evening. During the cocktail hour, he played timeless classics by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, creating an elegant and classic vibe. As dinner began, he transitioned seamlessly into some lively swing music, which added so much energy to the room. When it was time to party, Steve wen through the decades, playing all the hits from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s. We sang and danced our hearts out to all of our favorites. He read the crowd perfectly, and the dance floor was packed all night long! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how much fun they had and how sore they were from all the dancing, and we owe so much of that to Steve’s ability to keep the energy going all night. People only really took breaks to grab another drink. Thank you Steve for being such a pleasure to work with and for making our special day so incredible!!

Harvey was amazing throughout our whole wedding process! He made us feel comfortable and helped keep us calm throughout the months leading up to the wedding and didn't even seem concerned when we hadn't finalized our songs the week before our wedding. The music throughout the entire day was amazing and we cannot recommend Harvey/Maryland's DJ enough!
We also got the photobooth, which ran smoothly all night and had no issues. Guests loved the pictures!

Working with Maryland's DJ was great from Day 1. From the initial contact and discussions with Taylor and Steve about the vision for our night, we knew that we were in good hands. We had some issues with USPS and check delivery/cashing, but they quickly worked out a solution with us as soon as issues were discovered. Even with a diverse music taste and a wide age range, Steve kept the dance floor hopping from start to finish. He was even able to adjust on the fly to my wedding party's last-minute entrance changes. Our guests RAVED about the music and I can't recommend Steve and the team enough for any occasion. It was a very organized process and I felt super cared for from the start! We were lucky enough to have Harvey as our DJ and he exceeded all of our expectations!! We had an amazing time and Steve was an incredible DJ. We had a good feeling about him from our very first meeting, but he really pulled it all together for a great event. We know he was supposed to have some help, which unfortunately fell through, but we honestly had no idea until after the party. Steve went above and beyond and made it a very special event. He made us the center of attention, he had a perfect playlist, and mixed in our requests as well. We honestly can’t think of anything that didn’t go perfectly with Steve.
On a scale of 1-10, Steve was a true 11. Throughout the entire process he was communicative, attentive, and understood our vision.
