Jordan and his team, including our DJ Steve spent lots of time up front getting to know us and our preferences for music at our wedding. They were also flexible through our many pandemic-driven reschedulings. And the end result was great! The entire Marylands DJ team was kind and professional, and their whole process was very streamlined and detail-oriented! Their forms and online platform made it easy to plan music selections and figure out timelines. We had a micro wedding of about 40 guests, and our DJ Mike was awesome... he was able to identify our tastes in music and catered playlists to them. He was able to find this awesome balance of keeping the party going but not going "overboard" since it was a smaller wedding. I would highly recommend Marylands DJ!!!

Maryland’s DJ should be your top choice - no question about it! We cannot rave enough about how wonderful of an experience we had with Steve as our DJ and working with Jordan in preparation of the big day. They were professional, great on the mic and they got EVERYONE on the dance floor. We even had a seasoned vendor comment that they’ve never seen so many people stay all the way to the end of the reception!
To begin - their portal system easily allows you to track what songs you want to hear at the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception; they meet with you in advance of your wedding to confirm plans and provide advice to make the day flow; they easily worked with any request we had; and they were so flexible when the wedding was running way behind schedule (not their fault) so Steve checked in with us on if we wanted to make any changes, then he kept the party moving! Everyone - even guests we never thought would leave their seats - was bringing their all on the dance floor and that’s thanks to Maryland’s DJ! A good wedding DJ does more than play music. They help manage the flow of the day, they provide atmosphere and ambience, and most importantly, they run the fun on the dance floor. If you want a DJ service that matches your needs, that MCs as well as they DJ, and are a great time at your party, gathering, wedding, etc., you want Maryland’s DJ and you want DJ Steve. Steve isn’t the only DJ they have, but he ended up as DJ for our wedding after we met and consulted with Maryland’s DJ. They make a wonderful effort to match a couple with the styles of one of their excellent DJs. Their online portal provides lots of avenues to control the songs couples would like (or not!) at their wedding, and communication is always open. On the wedding day, DJ Steve was smooth as can be. He worked with us to facilitate a few last-minute lineup changes to the wedding party, to manage to the minute various announcements and scheduling of dances, was a wonderful and energetic MC — and when the dancefloor opened, he was an absolute joy to have at the DJ table. His mixes are on point and he works with you to make sure you’re getting the songs and sounds you and your guests want. You can’t go wrong with these folks.

Jesse was hands down the best DJ we’ve ever worked with. He did our wedding. He didn’t just press play on a playlist and let it go. We discussed our vision for the night and he executed perfectly. He read the crowd, played the songs he could see people were singing along and dancing too, and kept the dance floor packed all night. He’s also clearly very experienced with the flow of weddings as well, so helped us with our timeline for the night. If you’re looking for a DJ that will ensure the night goes exactly how you want it to, this is your guy. We were so impressed at the way he took everything we said we wanted in our wedding and made it happen.

Jesse was absolutely the best DJ we have ever had the pleasure of partying with. He did our wedding. He didn’t just press play on a playlist and let it go. We discussed with him our vision for the night, and he made it perfect. Our goal was for the dance foor to be popping all night, and Jesse was able to make that happen. He read the crowd, and played the songs everyone wanted to hear. He also knows how to manage a wedding, so he helped with our timeline and flow of the night as well. Hands down best DJ ever.

Maryland's DJ was awesome to work with from our first meeting. The DJ we got- Steve- was incredible. Hiring vendors over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic was stressful but we could tell Steve would be perfect from our first video call. He even came to our venue walk-through to get a feel of the space and introduce himself. He took our 'must play' songs and made them all work perfectly. No one left the dance floor the whole time!

Brian was the best DJ!! We loved all the song choices and remixes and the transitions were amazing too! Everyone at the wedding was raving about how good the DJ was and we couldn’t have imagined a better dance floor. We picked some songs but then also told Brian to just keep people on the dance floor and he definitely delivered. Even the parents and aunts and uncles were dancing most of the night! Our only regret was not having more time for dancing!

--We used Maryland’s DJ for our wedding reception and they were the most complimented vendor of the night.
--Of the DJs we interviewed Marylands DJ was by far the most professional and put together, and from the beginning we trusted their whole team. This was important because the original DJ we booked with had a conflict on our wedding day, and we weren’t concerned in the slightest when we were assigned a new DJ.
--The DJ for our wedding was DJ Mike Q and he was absolutely spectacular. He emceed very well following our instructions in their planning portal. He also could improvise well, like when I asked him to give a shout out to one of our grandmothers because it was her birthday. He also picked up on a song referenced in the best man’s speech and played it later in the night. He also takes song requests!
--DJ Mike Q was so good at keeping folks on the dance floor. I kid you not, it was packed all night and he mixed in a lot of songs we put on a list that gave him our dancing music vibes. I remember I was viben so hard that I forgot to drink anything between 8 and 9 pm. Maybe we’re biased, but compared to the previous few weddings we attended DJ Mike Q absolutely played the best music for dancing from beginning to end.
--He also added some fun mixes into the song list that made us belly laugh a few times.
--We got the photobooth and they did a great job with it. Got all the photos within a day or two of the wedding from that. That was easy to use and we were glad we got it because it gave folks a break from dancing.
--They also provided lighting and were super experienced and helpful when we had no idea how to pick what would look good in our venue
--The online planning tool and regular email reminders were great tools to help us plan our music independently on our own time.
--We didn’t book them for the ceremony, but I’m sure they would have done well.
--We got uplighting from them and it looked great in the barn. They knew exactly where to put it and we didn’t even have to think about it. We trusted them and they delivered.

I couldn’t say enough good things about Maryland’s DJ. The entire process was simple. The first thing we did was a phone call with Jordan who was super sweet and really listened to what we wanted. I had known DJ Ryan Carr previously and found that he worked with Maryland’s DJ so I had asked if we could request him. Thankfully he was available and then a second call was set up for us to meet with the DJ and get a little more specific as to what we wanted. They also provide a website that you fill out timeline forms and music playlists at your pace. The website was really cool because we got to organize songs in categories such as must play, please try to play and absolutely do not play. This really helped solidify what vibes we wanted. Personally we picked maybe a total of 10 songs for this entire playlist as we wanted the DJ to do his thing. Come the wedding, DJ Ryan C and MC Rob were amazing! All of our family was dancing at some point and loved the energy they both brought. The MC was on the dance floor dancing with my cousins and really made the event such a good time. We also rented their photo booth which was an awesome addition. Everyone in the family loved this, including grandmoms! There is no doubt in my mind that I would book with them again for any event!

This company was fantastic from day one, they set up a couple different virtual meetings with my wife and I and we just got a great feeling from them from the start. They are great people to work with. After hearing our music taste, they set us up with DJ Steve Hartka for our wedding and he was AMAZING. We got to make a list of "must play" songs, as well as "do NOT play" songs, and Steve took our music vibes and applied it to the rest of his playlist. We added the photo booth which was a huge hit with us and with the guests. These DJs know how to read the room and play the type of music that will get guests on the dance floor and stay on the dance floor. Thank you for a great event!

Brian was great, and he made our slightly eclectic mix of swing/big band songs and millennial nostalgia dance hits really work! That moment after the first dance when he encouraged everyone to head to the dancefloor was incredible and exactly what I wanted out of the evening.
The booking/setup stuff was also very easy to handle and they checked in at regular intervals to make sure everything was going to plan.
