We had Brian as our dj for our 9/5 wedding. He did a fantastic job! We are so happy we went with him and Maryland's DJ! He listened to our requests, played everything we wanted, had a great range of styles for everyone, and kept people dancing and in a good mood the whole night! Kept the vibe we wanted throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! He was great on the mic for introductions and announcements throughout the night. He was always responsive to our emails and phone calls. He was helpful with all of our questions and anything else we needed help on! We definitely would recommend Brian Maryland's dj and hire them again for anything else we needed a dj for!! :)

Our photographer referred us to Jordan and we couldn’t be happier that she did! He was extremely helpful and always there when we had any questions, especially with having to change our date due to COVID. The lighting was absolutely amazing and the photo booth was a complete hit. I don’t think there was a single moment the dance floor was empty once dinner was over, besides the cake cutting. Jordan covered a lot of genres of music so there was a little bit of everything for everyone in attendance. The night flowed seamlessly and we knew we were in good hands throughout!

Steve was absolutely amazing at our wedding a few months ago. He is literally a walking encyclopedia of music information, and he was able to mesh all of our interests (funk, 80-90s R&B, contemporary pop, etc.) into one seamless night that had the entire dance floor packed all night long. We can't recommend Steve enough for being so supportive and accommodating.
He also did our ceremony music, and we were amazed how seamlessly that came together. All in all - Steve's your guy! Thanks for everything, Steve!

We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and even offered to remix a few songs for us. Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and it is largely due to the music and lively atmosphere Brian created. We cannot thank him enough and will recommend him to anyone we talk to. This dude knows music and knows how to turn a party into a PARTAY!

Brian Doane was our DJ for our November wedding at Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Brian was so easy going and awesome to work with from start to finish. We had some music requests but he did a great job feeling out the crowd and kept the party moving all night! I don’t think our dance floor was empty the whole reception! He is a great friend and awesome DJ. I would recommend him for any event!

For bride and grooms to be (or anyone throwing an event) - do yourself a favor and look no further, seriously! Jordan was amazing during this entire planning process, he always replied in a timely manner and made every little request I had seem like no biggie and made it happen! Using the online portal (which was extremely cool!!) gives you the opportunity to give him a general idea of the type of music you want and keeps things extremely organized...Now more importantly, he literally had the crowd on the dance floor the ENTIRE time. He is able to read the crowd and deliver. It’s only been two days since the wedding and I’ve gotten SO many messages about the DJ and how incredible the music was and how awesome his lighting work was. If you want the best of the best, you’ve found it!!

Maryland's DJ was a last-minute addition to our 50th birthday party and we are very glad we hired them! We had a lot of fun with the online song selection portal: we we able to choose 25 "must-play" songs, 25 additional requests, and up to 10 on a do-not-play list. The portal also had a place to put the projected schedule - cocktail hour, dancing, cake, etc. Ebi was great, very professional. For example, he chose just the right songs for before and after the cake. He kept the party going. We had initially planned to plug an iphone into some speakers but we are really glad we spent the money and had Ebi!

From working with Jordan on scheduling through the event, it was a smooth and professional experience. We had DJ Steve, he was FANTASTIC! Steve Hartka from Maryland's DJ dj'ed our wedding at The Hotel at UMD and it was a huge success! The process started with a video call where he could demonstrate his dj style which was very cool. From there we were able to make a 'must play,' 'would like played,' and 'don't play' list to completely customize our playlist.
We let Steve take it from there and he had our guests dancing all night long. We had UMD's mascot Testudo show up and Steve was happy to announce on cue and play the fight song.
Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dj for any event!

We hired Steve to provide music and entertainment for our reception and ensuing dance party. I would say that working with Steve, and his performance at the reception, was the absolute highlight of our entire wedding. From our first conversation, I could tell that Steve was fully on board with our plan to have a progressive/electro house dance party. We provided some songs as inspiration, and he gave us a live demo at his office, demonstrating his mixing style as well as other songs he’d found to match our taste. He accommodated my mom’s insistence on using a medley of Prince songs for the mother/son dance, and he transitioned from that into his DJ set absolutely flawlessly. I will never forget standing in the middle of the dance floor with my now-wife, surrounded by our friends, as the final guitar solo of “Let’s Go Crazy” played out, ending with Steve announcing “Your dance floor is now open!”, immediately followed by the drop of “Feel So Close” (Calvin Harris). People went nuts and it was awesome. Additionally, Steve is just an all around fun guy to talk to and work with. He gets my highest recommendation.

Jordan and his team are truly amazing! We found Maryland's DJ through a wedding convention in DC, but also was referred to them through a co-worker of mine that used Maryland's DJ as their wedding DJ. Coming from a couple that is super into music, we knew it was a great recommendation!
Jordan was one of the best wedding decisions that we made. When we first met him, we met in his offices where he took us through a whole experience of what our wedding music would sound like, both cocktail and reception. It was truly one of the coolest things that we got to experience during the wedding planning process and made us so excited to get a glimpse of what the big day would be like. Jordan also took us through his portal where you can submit requests and your timeline, etc.
On the actual day, Jordan was totally stellar. I saw him right before we left for the ceremony and he put me at ease just by talking - he has a super calming demeanor. He truly is the best wedding DJ we could have ever asked for. So many of our guests came up to us during the wedding and afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the music and how perfect it was! Even my 76-year-old Dad can't stop commenting on how amazing our DJ was and that right there is a true phenomenon! Jordan can seriously read a room and that is a true gift. He also was our emcee and was amazing at directing people to what they should be paying attention to at any given moment. Not to mention he also referred us to who we used as our travel agency for our honeymoon - he was a true blessing!
