Our experience with Maryland’s DJ was incredible from the beginning! We met with a rep virtually who led us through an extensive presentation of all they had to offer. He asked us about our vibe and matched us with one of their DJs accordingly. Then we met with our DJ Jamaal. They have an awesome portal where you add in all of your music requests, even when to fade out, etc. We had a meeting with Jamaal a month out and he was very flexible with all of our last minute changes. We 100% recommend Maryland’s DJ for anyone looking for a fun, professional, company to work with.

Loved DJ Mike at MarylandDJs! He was with us every step of the way during our planning process. We were out of towners and found MarylandDJs on google and it was such a lucky find! Mike asked all the right questions in order to make our day so special. I literally have no complaints. Maryland's DJ was amazing to work with and Steve did an awesome job at our wedding. Their portal makes it super easy to customize your event and enter all of the event details. We did not have a lot of requests when it came to music, but Steve did a great job just based off of our meetings with choosing music that was a perfect fit for us and all of our guests at our wedding.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. We worked closely with DJ Steve throughout the entire process and we both have nothing but nice things to say about him and the company as a whole. Steve was responsive with emails and their portal is a great tool for filling out forms and music choices, contacting your DJ and keeping track of your payments.
The best part about the experience was the wedding day. Steve and his assistant showed up on time and had everything set up within an hour. He took down all of our important song requests. These guys are true professionals. Everything was so on point with ceremony and cocktail hour music. And the reception was one for the books. Steve and his assistant had our dance floor packed throughout the entire reception. We had multiple people tell us after the fact that it was one of the best receptions they had ever been too. And a large part of that is owed to Steve and Maryland's DJ for making our special night a truly memorable one.

Jordan did an amazing job of personalizing the entire wedding experience for us! He took the time to go through songs that were a must play, play if we had time or the vibe was right, and songs that were absolutely do not play! He even helped us pick some of those harder to think of songs like Mother/Groom Father/Daughter, etc. Highly recommend!

Steve H. & everyone at Maryland's DJ was an absolute pleasure and incredible to work with. Steve really took his time to understand the aesthetic and mood we wanted to capture for our wedding day. The photo booth they offered was completely worth it! These were the first photos we got back and we love looking at them! At the end of the night my wedding guests were chanting for an encore. Additional, one of my family members contacted MD DJ to secretly purchase dancing on a cloud for us. MD DJ really delivered to make our night magical!

We worked with Mike Q and had the most amazing experience. We told him our highest priority was to never have a lull in the dance floor and he absolutely delivered. Our guests were dancing all night long and everyone told us how amazing the DJ was. We had a crowd of all different ages and he did a great job of mixing in songs for everyone. We also talked about him playing songs fast and not staying on one song for too long, and he did this better than I could have imagined and he got through every song I wanted to hear and was able to take requests as well from our guests. Even the people in the bar below us were asking who our DJ was and said he was the best they have ever heard at the venue. He was also so professional and we loved working with him. Thank you so much Mike!!! Next time we need a DJ we will 1000% book him again, and you should too!

Overall, I'd recommend Maryland's DJ for weddings and special events. As an outfit, they're as slick and professional as it gets. Their online tool is fantastic, especially if you're like we are and feel the need to carefully tweak the music selections over and over again! It's surprising what you'll find in their database, and you can very easily add your own music for whatever's missing. The uplighting was extremely tasteful (especially since our venue had a lot of decorative lighting to start with), and Mike Q kept people on their feet throughout the night. If you're the type of couple that largely just wants to leave things in the hands of the professionals after establishing a few guiding principles, Maryland's DJ would be a godsend.
My husband and I are both pretty persnickety and neurotic about certain things, and thus there are a few areas we felt could've been improved. However, in this day and age it deeply hurts a business to leave anything less than a 5 star review unless they were truly lacking. Our criticisms are pretty minor, and meant to be constructive. A few announcements were a bit jumbled, and the audio quality on one or two songs was weirdly grainy. We left a lot of notes in the app prior to the wedding, so I can understand we may have provided a little too much input on certain things that didn't go exactly perfect. While we mentioned we wanted to get the slow dances out of the way early in the night to maximize folks' dance time, this was taken a bit to the extreme and my husband and I were still chewing our cake for most of our first dance. Nevertheless, these are all in the long run small issues that didn't detract from our happiness that day. Our guests largely didn't notice, either. We've heard so many DJ horror stories from other couples (and witnessed a few firsthand ourselves at others' events) that I would still say our experience with Maryland's DJ was generally fantastic.

DJ Brian from Maryland DJ was great! He didn’t overly MC like a bat mitzvah/sweet 16 DJ would and let the music do its thing. He had awesome transitions and was really flexible with the weather moving the wedding inside and starting later than anticipated. He also did an amazing job finding our exact cover / acoustic songs that we wanted for the processional. We loved Maryland DJ and would recommend them to anyone!

Maryland's DJ and DJ Mike Q were the ABSOLUTE BEST. I cannot recommend them enough. My husband and I are tough music critics and insisted on a very specific music vibe for our wedding and DJ Mike absolutely nailed it. They brought energy, visuals, and of course big sounds. We were lit, our guests were lit, it was exactly what we wanted.

Jordan was absolutely THE BEST DJ! Periodt. Our dancefloor was packed for 4 hours because of Jordan. The way he weaved in our "must play" songs into other songs and remixes that fit the vibe of the room was truly masterful. To keep that many people going for that long was really awesome. Even during the cocktail hour and dinner, the music he selected was perfect. So many people came up to us both during and after the ceremony to ask "where do I find that song," because the music was so perfectly us they assumed we had made a playlist. But no, it was all Jordan. He took the time to actually get to know us before the ceremony, to pick up on exactly what we liked (and just as importantly disliked) so that the music would be perfect. Also, can't emphasize how impressed we were with the uplighting he provided, which really added an extra element to the room. The photobooth was also amazing. Would 100% recommend Jordan!!

My husband and I cannot recommend Maryland's DJ enough. Based on our preferences, we were paired with DJ Steve. We have been impressed with him since day 1. Having never planned a wedding before, my husband and I did not know the process. However, Steve walked us through everything. He was organized, clear, easily accessible, and had the crowd dancing all night. The company has a lot of prep documents which helped ups plan for the flow of the night and really consider what we wanted for our evening -- this helped so much. Would rehire again and highly recommend to others!
