When looking for a solar installer I came across the reviews other clients of Eastbourne Energy had posted, and this propelled me into action as I could hardly believe what I was reading...... Now, after a superb installation, I know it's true !
My initial contact with Lee on the phone, his immediate grasp of my somewhat complicated requirements, and his obvious knowledge of all aspects of solar, EV's, V2G, MCS, and other baffling (to the uninitiated) terms, made me realize I had found a truly special organisation with a real enthusiast at its head.
Lee's subsequent visit to my house, all his useful comments and clear presentation of his suggested set-up all happened quickly and efficiently, and on comparing with other solar companies I had asked to quote there was little difficulty in deciding who to engage.
The date for starting the work was mutually agreed, and at 0800 on the appointed freezing cold day Lee's cheerful and personable team arrived and commenced the job, outside in the wind on the scaffolding, no loud music and doing 3 hours per cuppa, and still cheerful when clearly frozen to the bone...! I have to say I was most impressed with the speed of progress, and 3 days later with the expert and neat electrical work completed too, Lee commissioned the system and explained it all fully to me.
From the proposal so clearly set out in the first place to the final result, it has been a rewarding experience to deal with such a competent team - how often can you say that about a job? A big thank-you to Lee, Brad, Jordan, Josh, and Phil, who were all charming and considerate, and made what could have been anathema into a positive pleasure.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Eastbourne Energy to my friends and neighbours, and I do hope that this will lead to positive results for all concerned.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eastbourne Energy. Lee is very easy to get along with, and very helpful.
It seemed to me that Lee was interested in getting what was right and most suitable for me and my property, rather than what was best for him to sell. He answered his phone, and my questions promptly and amiably, and did what he said he would when he said he would. Although my system was small (6 panels, inverter, battery and an eddi) it was installed in one day! And his crew were careful, efficient, clean and tidy and did a neat job. Also, he’s local and I didn’t have to wait for months to have it done.

Lee and his team couldn’t have been more helpful, patient and professional. Pre-sales, installation, and post-sales support have all been brilliant.
Lee has fielded lots of detailed questions from me, giving me all the confidence I needed to commit. Ultimately I chose his quote because it was the best system. Others couldn’t fit as many panels on the prime south-facing roof, or overspecced on things like micro inverters on an unshaded roof, or used overpriced batteries like a Tesla powerwall or poor quality brands. There were slightly cheaper quotes available (as well as more expensive) but as well as the good design it also helped that they were local and weren’t too pushy or sales-y.
I was also very keen to use Perlight panels because they were one of the very few tier 1 panel brands where I couldn’t find links to Uyghur forced labour camps. Lee accommodated this request without a problem. I highly recommend looking up the study “In Broad Daylight: Uyghur Forced Labour and Global Solar Supply Chains” if you would like to avoid supporting the unethical parts of the supply chain.
The installation team did a very thorough and tidy job, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything on the day. This included a couple of small last minute changes. The cable run was difficult but they were able to hide it entirely in the attic and walls so everything looks super neat.
In short, I’m very happy with my new system, and I am very happy I chose Eastbourne Energy!

After a dreadful experience with some rogue traders who charged me nearly £2000 to service my solar installation, but actually left it not working and with broken tiles on my roof, Lee came to my rescue after being recommended by an acquaintance.
Lee was prompt, helpful and so concerned about the “work” that had not been undertaken I was put at ease straight away. Lee worked at getting my current battery working again and gave good advice on how to try and reclaim the money paid to the original traders.
Lee’s employees were lovely, they were tidy, even putting dust sheets over all carpets and explaining what they were doing. Today Lee came to install the software on to my iPad and took time to show me how to use it to check power in the system.
Assuring me that if there were to be a problem the software would immediately notify him so it could be dealt with promptly.

Lee and his Team did an excellent job installing our Solar and Battery System. . The quality of the work from both the electricians (Craig and Brad), and the panel team (Phil, Jordan and Josh) was excellent.
It really was a pleasure to have them working at our property, and even in February 2023, we are already reaping the benefits of the install.
As a keen & competent DIYer, we rarely have contractors working on our house, and after watching YouTube installs for a few months before going ahead with the project, I had a good idea of what make and size of system we were wanting.
We contacted Lee after a recommendation from friends, and at the initial meeting with him, I felt totally relaxed with his knowledge and approach to the install. By the end of the meeting he’d already answered my list of many questions, agreed with my choice of system, and where the system would be best installed.
From start to finish, Lee and his Team were pro-active and efficient, keeping me informed of progress during the build up, and during the install they were prompt, courteous, respectful, and friendly toward me and my wife. After each day, the areas of work were left clean and tidy.
I was extremely interested in all aspects of the install, and the team were happy for me to ask as many questions as I wanted, without ever feeling that I was interfering.
We have 12x 4.25kW panels, with a 5kW Givenergy Gen2 Hybrid Inverter, 2x 5.2kW Givenergy Batteries, and a MyEnergi Eddi for water heating with surplus power.
