TL;DR: great course, I learned so much. Longer version: Before this course, I didn't consider myself a Blender n00b. Over the past years I've modeled quite a few scenes and objects and usually kept it at that. Then along came this urban environments course and I decided to dive in. I'll never regret doing so. Cov Phillips is a master of details and imagination and a great teacher. Does the scale of an urban scene like this scare you? It scared me at first, but soon enough Cov teaches us how to break it apart in manageable bits, to which he returns every now and then to work them to a new level. This methodical approach taught me a lot of valuable techniques that I'll be using for years to come. During this course, I overcame my fear of unwrapping. It gave me an in-depth understanding of layering materials with color variations, grunge, stains, decals, painted damage, dirt etc. Where I didn't at all like texturing before, it may well be my favorite part of the process now.
