The guys at Trek St Albans couldn’t be nicer guys! Helping me out of a silly situation without laughing at me! They had every right to!

Great team at the shop but there were a few issues with the bike and order which the guys got sorted in the end. If I went online there wouldnt have been the same support choosing the kit and service once I had the picked the bike up, so really happy overall... Would go back and recommend heading to this shop if youre looking for a decent bike!

**Amendment to below* refunded me the overcharge gwg and offered to clean the bike for me, well done William for dealing with it quickly** Took my wife's unique 3 wheeler in for service which did include tightening of crank and probable replacement of one inner tube. Was told done within a couple of days. Was in no rush so I chased after a week. Apparently they managed to explode one of the tyres but thought not to tell. Finally collected after 11 days. Stung for £120. Not cleaned and wasn't closed.properly so much sonthat I had to amend it myself. Their standard service covers a clean. Very disappointed as wanted to give a newer business a try. One final point no guarantee of work just a receipt. If anything goes wrong in next couple of weeks drop it back. I think I'll give that one a miss and spend the time doing it myself. Thanks team for an overexpensive service.

Utterly pointless waste of space and 2 hours of my life I could have spent riding my old Condor. Travelled down to this shop and the salesman was clueless he just showed me pictures of bikes on the internet couldn’t advise on sizing or give any advice that he couldn’t read off a screen. I can do that on my own at home thanks !!! Only had a 3 of the gen 7 Madone to look at - bit of a Contrast to the giant shop in Barbican that had all sizes of relevant bike to try and a salesman that knew the difference between sram groupsets. When you’re coughing up £10 000 on a bike you surely have the right to expect more.

I phoned asking Martyn if they had a product, he confirmed they had. But after waiting for the right member of staff to be available some 25 minutes later. Not only was it incorrect they tried giving me but they didn't have the correct part either. They wasted my time and got nothing should be a minus.

I was very disappointed with the service I received. Last year I had gears and chain replaced but within months bits fell off, rack started to rattle (hadn't been attached properly) and gears snapped. And it wasn't cheap! Within a year I've had to have another new chain and new gears fitted again.

I took my bike to the shop to fix the front break as it was squeaky. I got the rear calliper changed for £65! (£10 shimano calliper was fitted for the price!!) And the front is still squeaking. No jobsheet was provided. When I ask for it they just told me they don't have it. So I paid and left very disappointed. Don't recommend it. Overpriced and low quality service.

I thought I’d take Trek up on their 25% discount offer on their bike service (level 3 service which cost me £157 after the discount… parts were not included). I had been told that if they kept the bike for more than 24hrs, they’d provide a replacement bike. On Thursday, I called asking if I could bring my bike in on Friday and was told that I could. If they couldn’t do the work on the Friday, I could collect my bike and bring it back so it’d be done within a day. Friday morning I was called about the total cost and told I’d get a call when it was done. Come Saturday morning, I had not heard anything so I called them only to be told they were starting the work now and I’d get a call when I could collect it later that day. Come 5pm, I had not heard anything so I called them only to be told they promised it would be done by Sunday. All of this, I could have handled (I wouldn’t be impressed but I would not have made the effort to write a review)but when I brought my bike back home on Sunday and looked it over, I noticed the chain rings had not been cleaned, wires had been placed outside of my mud guards and there was a gash in the front tyre. I went to ride it and discovered the gears had not been indexed!! My bike was in worse condition than when I brought it in! I brought my bike back on Monday. Nothing had been done with the front tyre and although Stu apologised and accepted they had underperformed, he was not willing to provide any gesture of goodwill. His response was “Please come back with something else and we’ll prove it”. Personally I won’t be going back and my cycling club has been informed. Now many independent service providers with recommendations are posted on our cycling group chats
